We disagree with customers comments regarding our handling of this repairMr [redacted] brought his vehicle to our facility to diagnose and repair the driver’s seat which was stuck and wouldn’t move forward or backwardWe found the cause to be a pen being stuck in the seat trackAs this pen was considered outside influence, it wouldn’t be covered under the warrantyThis was explained to Mr [redacted] , and upon his approval, we proceeded to remove the seat from vehicle, pulled the pen , re-installed the seat, and checked for the operation before releasing the vehicle Once we were ready to deliver the vehicle , he had mentioned a separate issue which wasn’t originally discussedThe seat back release was also not operating correctlyWe then took the car back and spent additional time to repair that issue at no extra cost to the customer We regret that Mr [redacted] has characterized this issue the way he has, but feel confident that we have fulfilled our obligation to properly diagnose the cause and correct the problemWe will be happy to continue working with Mr [redacted] in future if he chooses to come to us Sincerely, Mossy Fiat National City

We have had two phone conversations with Mr [redacted] to listen to his concernsIt was explained to Mr [redacted] over the phone that he was made aware of the issues with the car in writing prior to his taking delivery of the vehicleWe also offered to meet face to face with the GM in order to further discuss this matterThe appointment was set for Tuesday 7/19, which was later cancelled by Mr [redacted] We are available to meet anytime if Mr [redacted] is willing to do soSincerely, Mossy Fiat

Please excuse the misspelling of the last name! This response was addressed to Mr. *** ***This accident is an insurance issue which should be taken up with Mr***'s insurance company and not Mossy Fiat

The disputed repair was completed and covered under FCA factory goodwill warranty coverage with no charge to the customerthe vehicle was delivered on 10/10/Please let us know if we can be of any further help. Sincerely, *** ***Service DirectorMossy Fiat

Mossy Fiat in no way has made any further attempt to settle this matter. I have gotten no email, phone calls, or written correspondence. To add insult to injury it appears Mossy Fiat may be confusing details of the case. Who is "Mr. [redacted]"? Should I know who this person is?

I left a message for [redacted] he has not returned my call. I will leave another message for him. We have attempted to contact this customer to resolve this issue. We have been unable to get a return call back. All he is looking for is the duplicate registration fee and the owner’s manuals...

which we don’t have his originals but we do have the [redacted] copies we can email him. As a goodwill gesture without fault we will reimburse him for his duplicate registration if he sends us the receipt we can get a reimbursement check.

considered outside influence, it wouldn’t be covered under the warranty. This was explained to Mr. [redacted], and upon his approval, we proceeded to remove the seat from vehicle, pulled the pen , re-installed the seat, and checked for the normal operation before releasing the vehicle.
Once we were ready to deliver the vehicle , he had mentioned a separate issue which wasn’t originally discussed. The seat back release was also not operating correctly. We then took the car back and spent additional time to repair that issue at no extra cost to the customer.
We regret that Mr. [redacted] has characterized this issue the way he has, but feel confident that we have fulfilled our obligation to properly diagnose the cause and correct the problem. We will be happy to continue working with Mr. [redacted] in future if he chooses to come to us.

We have reviewed this case and believe that Mossy Fiat has made reasonable efforts to make Mr. [redacted] aware of the issues with the vehicle. We understand the vehicle has been paid off by the insurance company and the balance of the loan will be covered by a gap insurance. Mossy Fiat assumes no further responsibilities.
