Mossy Ford Reviews (3)

horrible customer service. the days of the customer is always right is a joke at this place, literally.

Review: I traded my Hyundai to Mossy Ford. (Nov. 19 2014) I told them 5 times I had a payment due in 2 days. Should I make it or not? [redacted] the Finance Director told me no. Don't worry about it. About 2 weeks later I started getting debt collection calls from Hyundai. They had no record of the car being paid off. I called [redacted] and he said not to worry about it. Hyundai is always a problem. Then I got 2 letters from the DMV looking for the release of liability [redacted] did not turn in. Meanwhile whoever Mossy sold it to, was running toll roads. I got a ticket in the mail January 30th 2015 wanting payment.(Irvine Ca.) The DMV said I was still on the registration. That is over 2 months. When I called [redacted] he said "Mossy sells a lot of cars. The DMV makes a lot of mistakes. It's your problem."I also will be turning him to to DHS as I feel he is a threat to this country.Desired Settlement: Termination of [redacted] for lying and breaking State Laws and my money refunded on this car and attorney fees.

Review: Mossy Ford ran my credit on numerous occasions trying to obtain financing. None of these inquiries were authorized. They tried to run it with over 15 different lenders and at some points, on a different date than when I actually applied for a loan. (12/2013)Desired Settlement: I would like all credit inquiries removed from any of my reports they are currently reporting on or that they applied for, if authorization cannot be provided.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

We have reviewed Ms. [redacted]’s complaint, we take this matter very serious and we apologize if we have made her upset. Our process is to have a signed credit application secured at the time of the car purchase or at any time that we have a client’s credit information pulled. Based on having a signed credit application our clients are allowing us to apply for credit on their behalf and we send the credit information to our credit partners with the intention of getting an approval. Unfortunately sometimes we have to send it to more than one credit institution but I can assure you that we did not send your credit information to 17 different banks. We do have a signed credit application from Ms. [redacted] allowing us to secure financing and if she would like to see it or to discuss this matter with me further I would be more than happy to do that. I can not send proof of the signed credit application through e-mail due to the privacy laws in the state of California. I apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused and we look forward to discussing this further.

Please contact me if you have any more questions.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I appreciate the response and information. The whole experience of buying a vehicle from your dealership, was horrible from the get-go. (documents attached). My credit was being ran weeks after already having the vehicle in my possession, due to financing not being secured prior to me leaving the lot. Not only that, when I initially gave permission for a sales manager to run my credit, it was over the phone for a vehicle that was not actually in stock or available and then she wouldn't even tell me the monthly payments. I should have walked away from the deal.
