I have paid my water bill early for almost 5 years and have never been late. My water was cut off without warning. I never received a bill for this cycle. They didn't try to call or even knock on the door before disconnect. MHWW said that we are responsible for paying the bill by the 10th regardless of getting a mailed notice as stated on the back of the bill. What bill ? They refused to waive the reconnect fee and late fees. While in the office to pay for reconnect, many others were complaining of the same issue. Due to high volume, the water may not be reconnected for a few days. That should tell you something.
I have paid my bill on time for over 3 years. I was out of town and forgot to pay it. They cut off my water as soon as they could like a game they wanted to win. I went and paid it with in an hour or so. The bill was only $38.00. They charged me $40 to turn it back on. I know it my have cost them $5.00 to turn it off and back on. It is sad that people are out for your money like this. I wish there were something we could do about people like this. There is nothing they could say that could explain there actions other than greed.
