Me and my fiance stayed here for a night and booked a second night thereThe next morning there was loud banging at the door like the police over and over and my fiance opens the door and the guy that works there started yelling and saying what are you still doing here? Get the hell out of hereYou need to leave..my fiance told them we booked for a second night and they said we needed to leave and come back at 2pmThey rushed us out if the room and while we were rushing we had to pack up all our blankets we had bought and we had his nephew who was visiting with us who is help fold the blankets and bring it out to the carWe then come back at 2pm and they said that we couldn't stay there because we stole a blanketMy fiance then proceeded to look in the car and his nephew must have folded it along with our blankets.He then apologized and gave the blanket back and tried to explain that this was not intentionally done but they were very unprofessional and the manager was absolutely horrifying, she kept interrupting me and talking over me and threatened me when I told her that I was making a complaint with the Revdex.com I would not get any of my money back and hung up on meThe hotel is nice but the management is absolutely not professional at all and very rude and disrespectfulWhen I first came in the day prior to originally check in, the manager was on the phone chatting away, she looked at me and continued talking on the phone completely ignoring me for almost minutesThat should have been the red flag right thereI think they need to fire everyone there and get a whole new management

Review: I booked this hotel through priceline.com and it did not specify the bed type and informed me I had to contact the motel directly to inform them of my specifications. I contacted the motel on 7/1/14 which is the same day I made the booking online. I talked to a gentelman who informed me I could select the bed size but for a king which was my request it would be more than what I paid, it would be $10.00 more a night. I agreed and advised if I could pay over the phone he stated no I would have to pay upon arrival however it was guaranteed I would get the king bed and he had already changed it in their system and it was rebooked with a King bed at a higher price. My check in was on 7/20/14 when I arrived I let them know I was going to pay the extra and the woman at the front desk informed me I could not do that over the phone and they were now fully booked and were not able to honor my request for a king bed since this has to be done in person at the time of check in and is based upon availability during that day. This was not what I was told, she told me the only thing she could do is upgrade me to a suite which is $75.00 more per night total of $150 for my two night stay. I asked if I could cancel my reservation all together or stay one night paying the additional that was paid for the second night for the suite and she said no. Either I paid the extra or I stayed in the small queen bed size which I could not since it was me my husband and daughter. I was left no other choice but to pay the extra, for both nights and was told to come back because the room would not be ready for another 2 hours. When the room was ready it was in poor condition, there were multiple stains on the floor and the sofa bed was ripped in ill condition. The shower/tub was stained and dark colored on the floor.Desired Settlement: I was promised the room and upon arrival was not given what was promised by your staff and was forced to pay extra for your mistake. I am requesting a refund of at least $100.00 for the overcharge and inconvenience. This was one of my worst experiences ever.

Review: We booked our room at [redacted] and choose a room with 2 queen beds because our party had 4 people. What we didnt notice was that [redacted] doesnt allow you to select the number of people staying in the room.When we arrived at the motel, the clerk asked us how many people. We said 4. At this point, he became angry and loudly stated that we had only booked for 2. We were taken by surprise and explained that we wouldnt book 2 queens for 2 people. The clerk yelled that he didnt care about any of that and if we wanted 4, we would have to pay extra.We went ahead and booked the room for 2, and went to the room to discuss our options. The clerk then called us and asked why there were 4 people in the room. We told him that we were only talking. He started shouting, telling us that the other 2 people had to leave or else all 4 had to leave. We were tired, hungry, and missing sleep. In addition, one person in our party is in her 50s and has a disability. Rather than search for another hotel during Labor Day weekend, we decided to pay for additional guests.According to our reservation, an additional guest costs $5 per night. 2 guests for 2 nights would be $20. When I offered to pay this amount, the clerk started screaming about how he didnt care about [redacted]s policies. We could either pay $40, or we could cancel our reservation, pay a cancellation fee, and go elsewhere. The cancellation fee would have amounted to one nights stay so I paid the $40 instead.The next day, there was a different clerk. I told her that we were dissatisfied with their service and wanted to check out early. She stated that we had to pay for both days even if we chose to leave early.We think the motel was unreasonable. We never had the option to book for 4 and we were willing to pay for additional guests. The hotel demanded a larger fee than was stated. Even though we were dissatisfied with their service, had we checked out early, they would have continued charging us for the room.Desired Settlement: Normally, I would request a $20 refund, the difference between the stated amount and the amount charged for additional guests, but considering how rudely we were treated, the yelling we had to endure, and the stress it put on our vacation, we feel that we shouldnt have to pay the additional fee at all and are requesting a $40 refund.

We at Motel Mediteran in Escondido, CA have carefully reviewed your complaint. We apologize for any misunderstandings. Your reservation made thru [redacted] was made for 2 adults, for 2 nights . I have attached your original reservation with this letter. At Motel Mediteran, standard rates are based on 2 person occupancy. Rooms that are allowed more than 2 people will incur a charge of $10.00 per person in addition to the 2 people up to a maximum of 4 people total in a room. Rates viewed online will need to be booked directly through that website. When booking online, please refer to that websites cancellation and room modification policies they may be different from the hotel/motel policy.At Motel Mediteran we strive to make our customers satisfied upon check-in. Motel Mediteran did give you the option to cancel this reservation upon you’re arrival in FULL because you were not happy with the policy, but was refused. For us to keep our rates low and provide all the free amenities there is a limit of persons staying in the room.I hope in the future you will give us another opportunity to make your stay complete. Review: My son is a former service member with PTSD. He recently found comfort in his service dog (seems to be the only thing that actually helps). When he came to visit me at this motel, the place threatened to evict me. The manager then charged me a $150 "sanitation fee" because of my son's "pet." When checking out, I asked the manager for a copy of the receipt. She refused to provide me with a receipt for either the stay or the extra charge.

This is my first ever negative yelp review but I just don't believe this Motel should get away with what they did. Before leaving, I took some pictures of the horrible conditions here. I wouldn't normally mind a poorly-maintained 1/2 star motel, but messing with our military/family is just not okay in my book. The grounds weren't well maintained, and there was trash in the planters.

First: rats. The place apparently has a rodent problem. I took a picture of one of the rat traps located outside one of the rooms.

Second: the furniture is not well-maintained. I included a picture of two couches. One was missing a cushion; the other was missing part of the covering. There was also trash everywhere. Not pleasant.

Third: the Motel is immediately next to a Sex Shop. Not ideal for my 12-year old daughter.

In conclusion: I've looked into the regulations and this Motel explicitly violated the ADA when they mistreated my son. Moreover, they charged a ridiculous "sanitation" fee (I looked into normal charges for deep cleaning after a pet stays in a hotel room - a normal charge is considered somewhere in the $15-$25 range).Desired Settlement: I'd like the $150 charge reversed, and for them to cease and desist their illegal policy
