This claim is absurd. The original quote was for $6390. As the customer admitted in the dispute, she told us that she was allotted $7500 by the program and therefore chose to increase her scope of work and cost to maximize this amount. The customer informed us of the amount and requested that it be...

maximized - which can be proved by email. Once the work and upgrades were completed to her satisfaction (which can also be proved by her remarks in 3 different emails) we sent off for the final amount to be paid by the program. Meanwhile the customer harassed us daily for a reimbursement check of items that she paid for, yet we had not been paid yet for the services we provided. I explained to her that's like asking for a refund on something you put on layaway. Regardless the reimbursement check was not sent her. The program sent a final check which did not close out the balance, rather it was for the original amount prior to the customer increasing the quote. Obviously she was misinformed of her allotment and is now left responsible for the improvements done to her home. From her desired settlement it appears she is asking for around $200?? Her reimbursement minus the extras that she added on at the end? Which once again we helped her out with as she begged for us to take care of her other leaking bathroom, then once it was done she complained about the price. And I did it at cost! I am rejecting this response because:  I will not slander anyone in this coming process.  I have every email and have written proof that Motex agreed to reimburse me for supplies and then refused to do it, when he failed to follow up with an amended contract with Centex.  They also have documentation that he signed the contract and then never followed through signing an updated one.  The loss of money on his end has nothing to do with me.  It was his error and he refuses to take the loss.  As for the bathroom....there was no begging that took place.  The work was done on the bathroom they were remodeling and he charged me $150 more than he paid the worker....even after his site supervisor told me they would only charge me for what the plumber charged them.  There is too much deception in this situation to go onto here.  I am an honest person and I have always paid my honest debt.  This incident is no different.  I spent over $1500 on supplies.   I am only asking for the balance of that money after the $68we agreed to pay him.  That is fair.  His issue is with Centex....but even then, he doesnt have a case.  He did the work without updating and signng a new contract with them.  It was a state medicaid waiver program funded job For my disabled adult son.  He agreed to take payment from them and they paid him for the contract he had signed.  That was his mistake, not theirs, or mine.  We did have $7500 available, he just did not go through the proper process to get it.  This is not a personal issue.  It is about being ethical and walking with integrity.
