Amazing family-run company!!! We hired Mother Hen to replace siding and paint our house last spring. They exceeded our expectations in terms of customer service, affordability and craftsmanship. We have recently had them come back to install a new fence, add on to our deck and install closet doors. In addition they have helped us in emergency situations with electrical and interior repair work. We have been very pleased with the prompt and personable service! I would highly recommend them for all of your home improvement needs! :)

When we were moving we hired Mother Hen to do our painting, floors and handyman services. They were awesome!

What a great company to work with!!! I recently hired Mother Hen to come out to access and repair our roof. [redacted] came out to my home for a free estimate appt. and he gave me the lowdown on what was needing to be done to fix the damage that was done to my roof from a storm. He answered every question I had and I received a quote by the end of that same day. His wife ** is such a peach to work with as well, she is so personable. Every scheduling and billing issue was handled very professionally and in a timely manner. They charged me a very fair price for all the work done. They were very neat and curtious while working at my home and cleaned up all their mess when they were finished. Also I always love to help out a family owned business whenever possible. I will be returning to Mother Hen for future home improvement/ repairs.

I am a single mother of three children, and living in a big home in Raleigh is not always easy. This older home is starting to show its age, with what seems to be one thing after another, ever time I turn around that needs repair or replacing. I didn't have any friends who could help, and the couple of services I found on the Internet(even including one through that "[redacted]'s [redacted] site!!) were horrible! One guy kept asking to use my bathroomso unprofessionaland the guy I hired to install my brand new LG dishwasher ended up wiring it wrong, and ruined it completelybut by the time it completely fried, (I had paid cash, unfortunately,) the jerk wouldn't even take my calls. Another company broke my backyard fence, and my precious dog got out and put our family through six hours of agony, looking for her. That company refused to pay for the damages and we argued for about six months until I threatened to get the Atty. Gen. involved. Another one did some work inside the house that I ended up having to pay someone else to fix, and that guy departed, taking my two heavy-duty, (expensive) electrical cords and when I called him, he cussed at me and never returned my cords. I had resigned myself to this poor state of professional home services in Raleigh, but at one HOA meeting for my neighborhood, several neighbors were talking about "Mother Hen Home Services Company," and the high quality of work they do. From my neighbors, I got their business card, and rather cynically, called them that week. I can not say enough about the absolute relief these people gave me! Not only did they work fast, they were exceptionally neatin their appearance, and in going out of their way to leave their work area even more tidy than when they cameremoving some leftover debris from a huge tree limb that had fallen. And while the "handyman" services listed everywhere seem to be mostly "kind of handy" retirees or even "wannabes," MHHS (Mother Hen Home Svcs.) exudes professionalism and really superior knowledge of the best way to tackle any issue I've needed their help with. One aspect I really like is in how they go out of their way to save me money, with suggesting the full range of options I have. My kitchen ceiling developed a crack that one company merely fixed cosmetically, and the crack soon returned, worse than ever. I feared the worst, but MHHS came out (the day after I called) to inspect, and within no time at all, came up with an ideal solution that helped me tremendously, and has allowed me to hold off for a few more years on the expense of putting an entirely new roof on my house. I am so happy I have them to call. I have no doubt whatsoever that they can help me with all my homeand even landscaping issues, like digging holes for my new crepe myrtles. I know a company this good at what they do keeps busy by word of mouth alone, and I am sure their volume of happy customers will at some point force them to grow. I hope they always manage to retain the amazing level of professionalism, care and skill they now sustain, as a small-ish business. They do kind of provide the level of thoughtfulness and help that a "mother" would. Five + stars to this company! A very satisfied single mother in Midtown Raleigh.","pos-4

We had the worst experience with this company! They replaced siding on our home and left debris in the yard for almost a week. We had to have them come back to finish the job that they said was done and there is still work they have not finished. They will not call or email you back once they say the job is done.
