Review: I gave a deposit of $200.00 (two hundred dollars) for a class in February 2014 and mother of cakes cancelled the class. I was never given a notice, call or email about the new date of class. I also called many times and no response. I finally got in contact with them and they stated they could only give me half of the deposit back. ($100.00) I asked them why and they stated because supplies was spent. Mind you I was never on the list for the class so supplies were not spent. They are lying about me being on the list. First she stated I was on the list then she says I was on a waiting list. (i have text messages) I mean they are trying to steal my hard working money. She stating she has to speak to the account holder but she’s the owner. I contacted [redacted] about this and [redacted] can’t help after 45 days. They did put a notice on her acct because they did notice she’s keeping my money without providing any services and she was the one who cancelled the class. I’m a hard working single parent with no other income but my own. I would be very appreciated if you can help me get my $100.00 back. I do not think it fair for anyone to be taken advantage of. Please help. Thank you so much.

•This is on their website under terms & condition: Class payments are non-refundable (in case of cancellation on our part we will try and reschedule the class or we will refund the class fee. )Desired Settlement: I was given $100.00 but I was my other $100.00. (If they were correct they would have never given any refund back but they know they messed up & they just want to keep some of my money. They cancelled the case not me.
(I would like my refund)
Review: I paid 895.00 to this school for a class called "Lambeth Boot Camp", It is a cake decorating class, which was to be taught by a well-known teacher named [redacted]. The class was to be held the first week of July.
The class was cancelled. I contacted the instructor, who informed me that her contract required 2 months advance guarantee of adequate attendance. Failing to fulfill the spaces, the instructor cancelled the class in May. I was only informed of the cancellation one week prior to the class.
I was told in writing several times by the owner, Tanveer W[redacted], that she would refund my money (class was paid for by [redacted] debit/[redacted] from my busines checking acct (I own a cafe/bakery in [redacted], NY). This was also confirmed by the instructor [redacted] who contacted Ms. W[redacted] on my behalf.
I have spent a lot of time trying to get this resolved. Ms. W[redacted] responded a few times saying a distant relative had died, then a religious observance, then she was sick, etc. etc. Now I have not had any response from her in over a week. No one answers the phone, no response to email or messages on [redacted]., If you look at the school [redacted] page, you can see her there posing with the instructors, she looks fit as a fiddle!
I am not a rich person, this is a lot of money to me which I paid in good faith. No service was delivered, and I need and want my money returned.
If needed, I can supply verification of all the above, payment, emails, messages, etc..Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded, either by return credit to my [redacted] card, or by check.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Review: I paid for a class in sugar flower making at Mother of Cakes . About 3 days before the class in November 2013, it was postponed. I had already made all my arrangements and had to cancel. The class was to be held around June in 2014. I emailed quite a few times asking for the date of the class and was never notified. I asked for a refund, and no reply. I finally contacted the instructor, and he informed me that he did attend the class. I then emailed Ms Tanveer W[redacted], the proprietor of the establishment, telling her that I was going to report her to the Revdex.com and I would contact a lawyer. She called me within the hour, saying she was sorry, and she would refund my money. This was in August, and I have not received anything yet. She even offered me a credit for a free class, and I declined. I just wanted a refund.
Review: I was registered for a class with the school and the class was canceled. I was promised a refund with a month of the cancelation. It has been a year since I signed up for the course and was charged. I have contacted the owner several times and have been told they will mail a check. I haven't received a check as of yet. I have sent several email messages and now the business just doesn't respond. I would really appreciate your help in securing my promised refund.Desired Settlement: I would like the business to refund my money as promised.
