I recently had some work done to my Vulcan (Oil Change, tire issue)When I took my bike to the shop, they were very cordial and polite
My tire issue was the reason that I was in there in the first placeI had a slow leak in my front tireI know it wasn't puncturedThey sprayed it with soapy water (I didn't think to do that) and found that it a bead leakI thought, 'cool, a free and easy fix'So I left it with them and asked them to change the oil while they had itNo problem
The next day they called me to tell me its done and ready, and I told them I'd be later that day to pick it up, and they said "no problem, see you then"So later that day, I go to pick it upIts around 12:30pm, lunch time, I show up and enter the shopThere are sales people at the desk, one is on the phone with another customer, and the other is looking at paperworkI am not greeted which isn't really an issue, but when I greet him, he just looks up at me, and then back down at his paperworkWhatever, no big dealI say "I had some service done and ill just go back to the service desk"The paperwork guy just spouts out, "He's not here, he's at lunch"I say, "Oh, ok" and then wait for the guy to help mehe just keeps looking at his paperwork and doesn't say a thingSo, I get flustered and throw my hands up and start to leaveThe paperwork guy says, "can I help you with something?" I'm like duh dipstick, I wanted to pick up my bike, but I just say "I wanted my bike but I guess ill come back later"Then I head to the door and he says something else but I was too pissed to acknowledge it
Later that day, I come back after calling to make sure the service guy is thereI walk in and skip right past the sales desk and head to the service deskThat guy seemed like he was trying to rush me out tooSo I pay for my service and they bring my bike around and I load it upThe mechanic was a nice guy and helped me strap my bike down
I'm looking at the service ticket and I see that I had to pay to have my tire re-beadedWas it their mistake that my tire didn't have a good bead seal? I'm not sure on that but if it was their product that failed, I don't think I should have to pay for the repairOverall, I am not happy with the company and will not be taking my business there, nor will I recommend them to ANYONE
