Review: paid for 1 hour ($100)of searching for potential electrical/wiring concerns with chevy van. The owner said that he tested the battery and cables and they needed replacing and most likely that would solve the problem. I acknowledged his finding and then mentioned that I believed that there was a bigger problem than this(in fact that's what I was paying for..exploratory).He immediately became very angry saying that I was telling him that he was wrong and that I seemed to think that I know more than him (mechanically). I attempted to re-iterate the mechanical history and failures to him, but he relentlessly continued to argue. He was impossible to have a rational discussion with. He did not spend an hour of time on the van. The battery was the first and only thing checked. They stopped at that point to inform me. Not only did he say battery replacement would most likely solve the problem, he eventually was saying that was all I needed to fix the problem. When I said that he couldn't know that for sure, he got even angrier and more childish and insulting with his comments. When I went to pick up the van, I made one last attempt to communicate to him, but it was pointless. He continually verbally bashed me. I thought that he would at least compensate part of the cost for me because of the short time that he spent on the vehicle, but he charged me the full $100. I did not receive the complete 1 hour service that I paid for, and it's because of his extreme negative and confrontational attitude towards me. The longer I was there waiting for him to finish the billing, the worse he got. I was uncomfortable in his presence. This person has got serious anger issues. I was willing to pay a portion of the $100 charge, but because I didn't get the service that I went in for, and the extreme verbal abuse that he gave me (which no customer should be subjected to), I want total reimbursement. No customer deserves this kind of abusive treatment at the cost of $100.Desired Settlement: I want the $100 returned to me for an incomplete service that is due to an extreme anger behavior issue that disrupted the entire process.

This letter stands as response to the complaint of the case mentioned above. The customer brought his 1990 G20 [redacted] Van on 6/2/2016, to have us check the van hard starting when hot, and 1 hour of electrical diagnosis. We attempted to complete the requested work, but the customer’s battery and tested bad on two separate machines. We advised the customer at this time that he needed a new battery, and recommended replacement of his corroded battery cables, in order for us to proceed with the electrical diagnosis. He said he would come and pick up the van. We could not proceed with any further work without the customer’s authorization for the purchase of a new battery, so the job for us was complete at this time. The $100.00 charge was for the 1 hour of time spent testing the electrical system at our shop rate of $100.00 per hour as posted. We are sorry that the customer feels disgruntled.
