Review: This complaint deals with service provided for my car on August 22 2013. I was in need of service for my car and found a local service facility in Davis after researching on the internet. The internet website quoted a price of $175.00 for service. An estimate provided was $216.00 and the bill presented was $437.00. On inquiry as to why there was a difference in the prices on the website,quotation given over the phone and why there was no approval asked from the customer when the price was raised significantly, the proprietor said that "the website is not updated" and he claimed to be affiliated with Mercedes-Benz USA Inc. I subsequently contacted Mercedes-Benz to find if this information was true. They assured me that the Davis Motor Works has no affiliation with Mercedes-Benz USA and that this establishment is not authorized by Mercedes-Benz USA.Furthermore, this establishment did not have proper personnel, tools nor set-up required to service my vehicle and its on-board computer system. I went to this establishment for "Mercedes Benz service-B" and despite having done this, my vehicle is still indicating that it is not fixed.(1) Warning and indicator lamps are on(2) Engine coolant lacking(3) Windshield washer fluid lacking, windshield washer system not checked(4) Check and replenishment of allfluid levels not done(5) Air flters were changed without my approval(6) ACC cabin air filter changed without my approval(7) Oil filter changed without my approval

We would therefore like to request a refund of our payment in full as the work for the car is incomplete,requiring additional work from a reputable authorized Mercedes-Benz service center. Moreover, the website is mileading and the proprietor in person, misrepresented his business as being an "official authorized Mercedes-Benz service location".

Let me address the issues as presented by Mr. [redacted].
1. Website prices. Due to changing prices for labor and parts, the website has a note for such eventualities which we believe is covered by the captions on the specific Mercedes section of our website regarding labor and parts prices.
Current Labor Rate: $110.00/hour (please call to verify).
*Time: 1 hour - Synthetic Oil Extra (Please call to verify pricing).

2. Change of original estimate As required by Bureau of Automotive Repair requirements. Notation: New quote amount, time, date and phone number attached.
3. Our relationship with the local Mercedes Benz dealerships or MB of NA. At no time have we ever needed or wanted an association or relationship with the above mentioned entity. It is not good for business and Mercedes Benz owners, are our customers that appreciate that they can receive the same quality of parts and service required for their care without the corresponding financial expenditures.
4. Delivery of Mr. [redacted]'s car upon picking up and starting his car, Mr. [redacted] noted that several fluid levels were being noted by the respective sensor that fluid level was deficient. I, with Mr. [redacted] accompanying, opened the hood to be certain that the fluid sensors were correct. Inspecting each coolant reservoir, I determined and physically showed Mr. [redacted] that each reservoir was in fact topped-up and that the sensors were apparently not sending the correct electrical signal to the car's CPU (processing unit).
5. Additional complaint items 4, 5, 6, 7 Are in actual fact parts and labor that are part of B service as noted even by a Mercedes dealer or MBNA, these items can be found on the Mercedes Benz website.
