Terrible customer service want me to pay for their malfunction

I was pre-ordering the Moto X Pure on Motorola's website on 9/2/2015, and when I'm checking out the my promo code wasn't working. So I called their customer service and, the first agent apparently didn't know anything and after 20 minutes he transferred me to the second agent, whose name is Lily. She kept telling me that it's impossible to pre-order the product at this time, despite the fact that I already had it in my cart and was half way checking out. I tried to tell her how I got there but she just kept saying "that's impossible" and did not even bother to try. I then sent her screenshots of my screen, but she said their system takes half an hour to receive emails. I asked her to call me back when she gets it, but she didn't. I called them back 40 minutes later and the agent told me that it was their mistake that they made the ordering page available and they just took it down. It was such an awful experience to spend hours on a false webpage to purchase the phone and to talk to agents who either don't know their product or is arrogant.
