Review: -03/11/16 I gave Mngr Sam T[redacted] 1000.00 cash for a down payment and delivery of a 03 Saab 9-3. Prior to the purchase I had test drove the car (Brook Rd to 295 to 95s, Chamberlayne Ave, then back up 95n to [redacted]o dealership). Nothing stood out from the test drive for concern. After we finished up the paper work I left the dealership and when I pulled out to make a U trun at the light the cars transmission slipped from 2nd to 4th. I was then going to return to the dealership but noticed Mr T[redacted] had left already. On the very next morning 03/12/16 I contacted Sam and explained what happen. He advised me to check the transmission fluid, and get back with him. When I checked the fluid it was fine. I Fwd him a pic of the dipstick to make sure. He then advised me to bring the car back to the dealership to have him look at it. I left the car with him the entire day 03/14/16, when I picked up the car he then mentioned to me he added fluid and then it was still LOW on tranny fluid he also gave quart of fluid. He told me I should add additional fluid when I got home. When I got home I check the fluid again and it was fine. I kept in contact with him and he reassured me that the problem was with the fluid level not being correct. I check the fluid many times and nothing changed. I then contacted Sam on 03/16/16 asking him what we needed to do to make this right. On 03/17/16 Sam placed a powertrian warranty on the car to cover any transmission problems. The warranty was placed on the car after finding the transmission problems, in turn the Warranty will not cover the transmission because this was a preexisting problem. I went through the papers in the glove compartment, I found a Bill of Sale from 2014 from Motorsports Auto Sales to the prior owners, I have reached out to them to find out if they had any transmission problems. I have not heard from the previous owner as of 03/31/216Desired Settlement: Either switch me out to another car of equal value, or refund me my down payment or particle. I have done a few things to the car to improve the appearance of the car.

Thank you,

Review: Purchased [redacted] for $5,500. Before the deal was closed notice the smell of burning oil and told the owner would not purchase vehicle until the oil leak was fixed. He said it was fixed. Three weeks later the engine light came on. We have a 90 day warranty and took the car to Richmond BMW. They called after probing the problem and let us know there were 2 major oils leaks, a bad valve, and the front end of the car was in need of new tie rods, etc. The total for all of this work came to $2,900. We were told by BMW that the front end work had been there a while and should have never passed inspection back in August 2015. They said it takes quite a while for this to wear out and said it would not pass inspection unless it was repaired. We tried to use the warranty and they denied all charges. We think the dealer knew about the problems and that there was a good inspection on the car that should not have been.Desired Settlement: We feel the owner should pay for the oil leaks he said were fixed, and the front end repairs that are unsafe. We think out of the 2,900 needed in repairs for a car we have not even made the first payment on, he should reimburse us 2,300. We would be willing to negotiate if he would take responsibility for this.
