We told tgis customer that we would fix concrete in spri.g and she said no problem. Concrete does not get reached under warranty which is listed on out website. we refill with cement as needed.
Review: Mottern Masonry was hired to install a concrete deck in the yard - the concrete was to be stamped in a stone pattern. The concrete was done in two pours... the concrete poured on the 2nd pour was not mixed properly, resulting in a splotchy uneven finish and two sections that do not remotely match. In addition, the stamping was done inconsistently for each pour, resulting in a deck that looks horrible, with two sections that do not remotely match. Mottern Masonry "guarantees" their work, but has refused to address the shoddy and unacceptable results of their work, even though there is a "fix" that can be done (a one in uniform pour over the whole patio, with a re-stamping done to make the whole patio look uniform... Furthermore, Mr. Mottern agreed with us that the end result was unacceptable, but has been belligerent and high-pressure in his defensiveness and refusal to address our concerns (with both me and my wife)... His "guarantee" doesn't mean anything. We are very unhappy with this $7,000 job, and even more unhappy with the conduct of Mr. Mottern, his lack of professionalism and the fact that he has not lived up to his guarantee or stood by the quality of his work.Desired Settlement: We have consulted with other companies who do this type of work... they have advised that Mr. Mottern and his crew need to come out and pour the additional 1/2"to 1" of concrete over the entire patio area and then re-stamp the patio such that the finished product looks as it should. The end result should be something that he would be proud of. He isn't proud of it today... the cost to "fix" the work must be borne by Mottern Masonry.
