Mount Auburn Hospital fails to note that they filed their insurance claim incorrectlyMy family and I called on the Saturday in question, and were asked to come in immediatelyThis qualifies as an urgent care situation under my health insurance, which Mount Auburn did not include in their claimUnder my insurance, referrals are waived for urgent care and a $co-pay appliesTherefore, the insurance claim failed not because of a lack of a referral, but because Mount Auburn failed to notify my provider that the visit was an urgent care situation. In regards to Mount Auburn's abundant phone calls, I live in *** and work during the dayIt is enormously difficult to respond to a company that closes at 5pm every day on the east coast when I have a cut-off deadline of 2pm to talk to them, and I have things to do during that timeAlthough I did make some attempts, I was being misled by Mount Auburn's faulty claim and was attempting to resolve my situation with the wrong partyIf Mount Auburn is unhappy with my lack of response, perhaps they should consider offering communication channels on the client's terms instead of theirs
