Review: Failure to keep verbal agreement and price agreed upon. Horrible business practices.

I received a price quote of $900 for tree removal and stump grinding. The company began working a few days later on my neighbor's trees.(not a full crew, only a man and his wife showed up) After about 3 weeks of waiting, they finally began working on one of my trees. After cutting down one small tree and a few branches off another, the tree cutter([redacted]) then advised me that his price is now $1200 and that he will now be charging me by the hour instead of what we initially agreed upon. He then said he never told me $900 as a price which is a lie because I would not have hired him for more than that. After my neighbor, who also hired him, got into an arguement with him he left and no further services will be performed. I am outraged at the way I was treated as a customer and I will never be using this company again and have contacted my lawyer regarding these practices. Desired Settlement: I will not be continuing service from this company and I do not expect a bill. The services were not completed and our verbal agreement was null as soon as [redacted] decided to change prices and services after already cutting down one small tree and a few branches. If I would have been told that before the services were started, I would have cancelled on the spot!
