The purpose of this letter is to respond to the concerns surrounding the physical condition and landscaping of Mt. Lawn Cemetery around May 14, 2014.
First, the Board of Directors would like to apologize for the condition and appearance of our burial grounds during May...

2014. Appropriate landscaping has occurred to rectify its appearance, and an appropriate landscaping schedule has been implemented to ensure maintaining its appearance.Secondly, In order to provide [redacted] the burial location of her relative, the name of the decease and the year of the burial needs to be provided to office personnel. Once the above information is received, staff will certainly provide [redacted] and/or family with the burial location of their love one, in addition, all occupied burial locations are open to the public, and are properly kept. We are challenged with vandalism where head stones are removed and/or knocked over. We are working diligently to repair and reset all affected headstones as well as improving security of our grounds to deter future acts of vandalism.
Providing quality customer service is a priority of Mt. Lawn Cemetery. As such, any complaints of inappropriate behavior and/or interaction with our clients from Mt. Lawn's personnel and/or contractors are taken seriously and will be investigated.Lastly, our office hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, with walk-in hours from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Anyone needing assistance can call during office hours. Although we have walk in hours, in order to expedite assisting our clients, it's most beneficial to persons to call prior to visiting our office.

Review: I really need help my grandmother is currently buried at Mount Lawn cemetery [redacted], pa [redacted]Phone number ###-###-#### or [redacted]I had to wait a year for them to mark the spot for me and my mother to visit they will not return callsI made a threat to contact the media in the office manager had the spot marked that dayThe manager informed me those individuals died from the 60-so they really dont have any family and thats why they dont clean up back in that area, this was completely unacceptableI went today on mothers dayThe grass is higher than the tomb stonestomb stones are knocked over if you never clean a grave yard you should clean it on mothers dayThey post a sign on the door that they will not talk to anyone unless its Monday-Friday 9-11AM but are never in the office at this timeA worker there told me if I have a problem with the grass I need to do like others and bring a lawnmower and cut the grass myself I bumped into another lady at the grave trees have grown thru her mother and grandfather plot and the cemetery says its too expensive to have someone come in move trees so just lay flowers around the edgesI also witnessed a argument when I was at the office when they moved a ladys brother without her permission to a new grave because they needed that spotI have contacted the Pa Attorney general office before and I received no responsePlease helpThis is supposed to be a historic cemetery in [redacted] County and nothing is being done.Desired Settlement: I want them to take care of the grade yard and im requesting the exact resting place of my grandmother
