Review: I went to the urgent care clinic for a specific concern. During my visit with the Physician's assistant [redacted], I had no symptoms for concern but was candid about my anxiety after an accidental female concern. After the exam - which was unexpected she wrote a prescription as a precaution. Some weeks later I received a bill from a lab for tests I was not aware of. I contacted the Urgent Care Clinic since I had not been informed of the option to take these tests and was unclear on why these were ordered. [redacted] informed me that in my notes, the Physician's assistant stated the tests were 'ordered' later [redacted] contacted me and hearing my concern said he would see what he could do as sometimes these things happen and the lab is able to 'work something out' or I could just 'bill it to my insurance' I am appalled that he would suggest I go ahead and pay or bill for charges that were not communicated to me - dishonest to me the patient and to my insurance company. If I was given this option, I would have declined since I had recently had my annual physical done two months prior. The call I placed for follow up last week was again returned by [redacted] who left a message saying my results were normal and he apologized since nobody had called to deliver my results. These labs were done in November 2013.Desired Settlement: I am paying $230.33 lab costs for tests that were done without my consent, knowledge or permission. I would like a full refund as I will not be sending these erroneous charges to my insurance company for payment
