March 3, 2018Dear [redacted],On January 8, 2018, [redacted] made a purchase of a security storm door style number [redacted]. The sales person Lou C[redacted] measured the door at approximately. 46" x 84". I spoke with Lou about this and he stated he was not sure about where the...

door was going to be installed.  He figured since Doors Unlimited always measures twice, everything would be ok. We do not use the sales persons measurements. Security storm doors are very difficult to measure because here in Philadelphia there are several different kinds of moldings that the storm doors are hung on. The type molding that [redacted] has is a cove molding. To install a security storm door we must have a square molding to attach the Z bar (frame of door) to. We have to install a 1" x 1" wood frame to accommodate the new security storm dour. [redacted] claims the door was not measured correctly...It was measured correctly. [redacted] also claims she has a hard time getting her hand in to unlock the entry door because of the 1" x 1" frame. We don't understand that because she has a very deep jamb. Forty percent of our installations are done this way. We have been installing doors since 1971 and never had a customer complain about installing a door on a 1" x 1" frame. When [redacted] complained about the installation Mike K. inspected the door and his report was the installation was done correctly. After every installation the installer gods over every thing with the customer and they sign a completion certi?cate, [redacted] did sign the completion certi?cate which states that they are satis?ed with everything.  If [redacted] was not satis?ed with the installation why would she pay the balance due and sign the completion certi?cate? There was another thing mention in the letter that [redacted] wrote that Mike said this was a bad neighborhood. Mike claims he did not say that.[redacted] mentioned that she would like a refund of $1355.00 which was the amount on the order. Doors Unlimited feels we have done -our part of the contract and honestly do not feel we have done anything wrong so we do not feel as though we should refund $1355.00 to [redacted].Sincerely,Dale G,Sale Manager
