I am sending you our written statement and a copy of the repair order we discussed on Friday the 14th of NovemberI am sorry for the delay but as I said I would send you the information I had regarding the service we
performed on ***'s *** Town car back in OctoberI took some close up pictures of the carbon deposits under the throttle body which was the blockage that was causing the problem, I also have video surveillance 24/with at least cams viewing any one location, so if there is any question left in ones mind as to the amount of time I spent or the actual work I performed please let me know and I will be glad to send pictures or the entire recording with the actual time used to perform the repairs to ***';s vehicleSee repair order that should answer allot of questions regarding the work we performed, and what *** and I discussed prior to any repair workSorry it took so long getting back with you, I had to go to our storage to get the box with the original SIGNED repair orderAny further questions please get in touch with me. *** @ *** works well tooI have called and left messages, one of the calls I talked to *** who said she will have him call me back, none of witch happened, I also have left messages on his vehicle window also unanswered*** and *** live just across the street from me so there is no excuse why he has never come and discussed any of his concerns with me eitherI still have not been paid for this workYour suggestion as to what I might do would be appreciatedI repair the fleet of vehicles he is one of the drivers for, and I would rather not go to his manager with this problem, please let him know this if you wouldWe could take him to court, he would loose, and have to pay all the court costs associates with the case, as well as the $plus late fees on the RO, We might also do a wage garnishment which will surely alert his manager as to a problem with one of his employees, all of which would probably be bad for ***I just am not that kind of man, however I am disappointed in myself, letting *** drive away after the repair work to his *** without any kind of payment other than a written promise on a piece of paper stating he was going to pay in full by the end of October SADA few other thoughts, his check engine light was on before our repairs to the EGR flow problem and after our repairs it is off, how much did he get back from the parts house for the return of the unused EGR, how much did WE save ***? We could have been like other repair shops and just replaced the EGR valve as requested, and after that repair did not fix the problem charge *** more money for further diagnosis to the EGR flow problem and more repair time and money to another portion of the EGR system WHO IS RITE??
I also gave *** and *** an AC front clutch bearing assembly for there *** Explorer because the bearing on the AC clutch assembly on there vehicle was frozen which caused the AC belt to self destruct, *** said he would pay the $charge for the AC clutch bearing assembly by the end of October, and it is now the middle of November. HAVE A GREAT DAY :)

This is my response: I have contacted Bureau Of Automotive Repair, for I do believe this is the same company that shut down *** and his business in the first place due to scams and fraud to his customers. Now for my real response: Where should I begin? I think I'm gonna go to town on this oneI have NOT received any notes on my car window except for asking about payment for a Compression Check, I paid that, in fullBut for this matter, I have not received any type of letter or note about payment or even a question about a payment, the only thing I have received was a beer bottle under my right front tire, odd thing is, is that no one who lives by me drinks that brand of beer that was left under my tireHe has called my girlfriend, several timesI've been busy with work so I don't respond to him. For the record, me and my girlfriend DO NOT live together, but I go home happy every night, and not to a shop that I have to live inHe states that he will go to my boss about this situation, here's my question, when does my boss, or any boss care about situations outside the work placeYou can sit here and threaten me all you want, but going to my boss is going to be shameful to youStop playing childish games and man up, I mean start doing your job as a mechanicYou can take me to court, I have no problems with that at allBut, keep this in mindI have the vehicle that you say you worked on, I have the proof that you didn't do anything that you said you didThe JOB was to replace my EGR Valve, it wasn't done, and you're going to threaten me with court? I've gone to other mechanics, had them take a look, showed them the paperwork, and explained what was going onThey all say there was NO work done to the vehicle, and that I shouldn't pay for a JOB not doneI can have proof of this if neededAlso, a wage Garnishment would have to go threw Court, so I guess I'll see you thereHe states that I agreed that I would have this balance paid off by the end of October 2014, as I can recall, we had a verbal agreement that I would make payments to himFor the time being, I refuse to make a payment, or none to this mechanic for which he did not finish the job that was requested of him. For the so called work he claims that he did, the Check Engine Light is still on, I have a picture on my phone of thisThe problem has NOT been fixed and continuesAny type of repairs to my EGR Valve would have been the EGR Valve replacedAnd, I still have the NEW EGR Valve in it's box, still in it's original bag that it came inWhat Carbon Deposits? This is the first I heard of this? I was told he replaced a vacuum hose that triggered the EGR to work, oh wait, it doesn'tAnd to remove Carbon Deposits, you have to remove the throttle body, but if you look, there is no proof, the bolts would have markings on them from a socket"We could have been like other repair shops and just replaced the EGR valve as requested" - Why Didn't You, I did not request any other work to be done on my carJust the EGR, and the engine light stills comes on"I also gave *** and *** an AC front clutch bearing assembly for there Ford Explorer because the bearing on the AC clutch assembly on there vehicle was frozen which caused the AC belt to self destruct, *** said he would pay the $charge for the AC clutch bearing assembly by the end of October, and it is now the middle of November." - First off, rofl, the belt did NOT self destruct, the belt is just fine, but thanks for asking, also the bearings weren't frozen, rust caused the pully to not work properlyAnd on the other note about the payment for the Pully, we had a discussion about how much the USED Part is worthI offered that I would go ONLINE and look up NEW and USED prices for this partHe agreed to this arrangementThen out of nowhere, he demands $for a USED part that he picked up out of a junk yard about years agoI have looked online for this part, I have found that a NEW Pully is aprox$25, a USED Pully would run around $So who's the con now? As I stated at the beginning of this statement that I have already contacted BAR, the company that ran a investigation and ran a sting on his businessThey also shut him down and threw him in jail, lost his licenseBut yet he is still working at this locationI got an ear full of what happened, stuff that I never knew about this guyDid you know there was a Meth bust? I mean, come onPlus, what mechanic lives in there shop that there son bought, oh wait all you had to do is transfer the name to his, just so you can continue scamming peopleI'm pretty sure that's what he is doing with the Fleet Vehicles that I drive, that's fine, cause they have an investigation going too after I told them what was going onFair warning, do not EVER include my Job or my Family in your childish gamesMechanics like this is what gives other Good mechanics a bad name

Review: I will try to explain my case to best that I know how:I took my car to Mountain Auto here in Quincy, CA, to figure out why my Check Engine light was coming on for. [redacted], the mechanic hooked it to a portable code reader and got a code (332) which he said was my EGR Valve not opening. A few weeks later I ordered the New EGR Valve from [redacted], I got the new part in the mail and then took my car to Mountain Auto. I asked that he Replace the part on my engine, he agreed and took my car for 4-5 hours. I got a call that the car was done, I showed up and he said that he didn't replace the part cause it is working now, and that he found a Vacuum Hose that was pinched, he replaced the Vacuum Hose without my knowledge or approval. He explained that he had to remove the Intake Manifold to get to the EGR Valve. I looked over his work and the is NO visual/physical proof that he removed the Intake Manifold. The bolts for the Manifold have to markings and the dust on a Wire Harness is still undisturbed. Yet, he had me sign a work order to have the EGR Valve replaced, and yet he didn't do the job that was requested. I am currently being charged $280 for a job that was NOT finished. I currently REFUSE to pay this mechanic for a unfinished Job.After I took my car into the shop, I was told that [redacted], the Mechanic, was released of his Business License for which he can NOT work on vehicles, due to a State Investigation that he was ripping people off on work that didn't need to be done, alone with many other reasons. My case shows why he cannot work on vehicles, and why I am filing a complaint against this Business. I refuse to take my vehicles to him again.I have pictures taken from my cell phone if there is an email address to send them to.Desired Settlement: I'd like to see this Mechanic put of Business. This is a small town and of what I understand now is that his mechanical reputation has gone down the drain. Something needs to be done before he does this to anyone else. And, I'd like to have my $80 back for the Code Reading of the EGR Valve, if the EGR Valve is working, then I should not have paid.

Response:

I am sending you our written statement and a copy of the repair order we discussed on Friday the 14th of November. I am sorry for the delay but as I said I would send you the information I had regarding the service we performed on [redacted]'s [redacted] Town car back in October. I took some close up pictures of the carbon deposits under the throttle body which was the blockage that was causing the problem, I also have video surveillance 24/7 with at least 2 cams viewing any one location, so if there is any question left in ones mind as to the amount of time I spent or the actual work I performed please let me know and I will be glad to send pictures or the entire recording with the actual time used to perform the repairs to [redacted]';s vehicle. See repair order 12916 that should answer allot of questions regarding the work we performed, and what [redacted] and I discussed prior to any repair work. Sorry it took so long getting back with you, I had to go to our storage to get the box with the original SIGNED repair order. Any further questions please get in touch with me. [redacted] @ [redacted] works well too. I have called and left messages, one of the calls I talked to [redacted] who said she will have him call me back, none of witch happened, I also have left messages on his vehicle window also unanswered. [redacted] and [redacted] live just across the street from me so there is no excuse why he has never come and discussed any of his concerns with me either. I still have not been paid for this work. Your suggestion as to what I might do would be appreciated. I repair the fleet of vehicles he is one of the drivers for, and I would rather not go to his manager with this problem, please let him know this if you would. We could take him to court, he would loose, and have to pay all the court costs associates with the case, as well as the $280.00 plus late fees on the RO, We might also do a wage garnishment which will surely alert his manager as to a problem with one of his employees, all of which would probably be bad for [redacted]. I just am not that kind of man, however I am disappointed in myself, letting [redacted] drive away after the repair work to his [redacted] without any kind of payment other than a written promise on a piece of paper stating he was going to pay in full by the end of October 2014. SAD. A few other thoughts, his check engine light was on before our repairs to the EGR flow problem and after our repairs it is off, how much did he get back from the parts house for the return of the unused EGR, how much did WE save [redacted]? We could have been like other repair shops and just replaced the EGR valve as requested, and after that repair did not fix the problem charge [redacted] more money for further diagnosis to the EGR flow problem and more repair time and money to another portion of the EGR system. WHO IS RITE??

I also gave [redacted] and [redacted] an AC front clutch bearing assembly for there [redacted] Explorer because the bearing on the AC clutch assembly on there vehicle was frozen which caused the AC belt to self destruct, [redacted] said he would pay the $80.00 charge for the AC clutch bearing assembly by the end of October, and it is now the middle of November. HAVE A GREAT DAY :)
