Review: We bought our log home kit from Mountain Creations and became dealers ourselves under cuyahoga valley log home(an authorized dealer of mountain creations). The logs were delivered in October of 2012 and immediately put up by a crew RECOMMENDED by MOUNTAIN CREATIONS. we moved in in March of 2013 and that summer noticed our cooling bills very high....geothermal people couldnt figure it out. Then I saw daylight through the logs (that were not supposed to shrink). MC turned off our affiliate website, quit returning our phone calls, and never delivered our 6k worth of stain that came with the kit. We had a lawyer send a $300 letter that they never responded to. This house is my life investment. Also I am now going to have to get a lawyer to get out of the business contract we have with MC! We hear that they sold the franchise but again cannot get a hold of them. Hoping to avoid a lawsuit but the ENTIRE house had to be caulked and will need maintaining forever. This was not the product we were promised. Dont they have insurance? Or the mill that "dried " the logs?? We just want answers and for our situation to be made right. We are hard working middle class people.Desired Settlement: We think a refund is all that can be done at this point......how do you replace an entire log home?????

Review: I signed a contract with Mountain Creations Log Homes with a break-ground date of April 30, 2015. I was required to pay 25% down which I did the day the contract was signed on February 23, 2015. There were delays in getting both the preliminary and final prints done - lots of unkept promises. I received the finals on May 7th and . Paul S[redacted] told me that delivery would be by the end of May and required me to pay the second 25% deposit which was due 30 days before delivery of the home. So I paid it. I sent the prints into the township to get the building permits and was told by the permit office that the prints were greatly insufficient. I provided this feedback to Paul S[redacted] the same day. It is now mid-July and I still do not have the info required to get a building permit. I have tried repeatedly to get in touch with the S[redacted]s by email and by phone. Their emails come back "undeliverable" and they do not answer their phones or return messages. In addition to the two 25% deposits I have paid them totaling $16,741, I was required to pay them an additional down payment of $8,000 when I signed the contract. The total I have paid them is $24,741. I have sent them a letter asking for the contract to be nullified and the money refunded to me but I have not heard from them. I am very concerned that I will never see this money again. Something isn't right. Their website has not been updated, no one ever answers their company phones or the cell phone numbers they gave me, their face book page has been shut down and their emails get returned "undeliverable".Desired Settlement: I want a full refund so that I have the cash to pursue another home builder. I don't want to do business with these people anymore.
