Purchase a Echo Chainsaw from Mountain Enterprises in Dec 'Paid $ for an Echo Timberwolf, never ran correct, drove miles to take it back for warranty service (Echo Chain Saws carry a year Warranty )After days ( left messages, no return calls ), finally got ahold of someone, Was told it was repaired but there was a $ service charge" this is under warranty, how can there be a service charge ?drove miles to pick it up, was told " we really don't know what the problem is, it says here it won't start again after using it, but we didn't test that, we just tested it to see if it ran ok ! "So it's not fixed ? ", no" then why am I paying a service charge ? "their answer: Because we can't figure out what's wrong with it so we don't know if it's covered under warranty or not Then the service manager insulted me by offering to purchase it for $ because it doesn't run A complaint was also filed with the corporate office of Echo

Short version: I was given a very high repair quote, work was started on the repair before I approved the quote, contacting the representative was very difficult, communication between representatives was very poor, I was placed on hold many times, and I was charged for work that was not done I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone
Long version: I brought my walk-behind mower in because it had trouble starting, and asked them to take a look at it; I also asked them to sharpen the blade They said things were busy, so they might not get to it until Monday of the next week That's fine
On Wednesday, they call me back with a quote of over $120: $for the part, $for the inspection and labor, and other charges for replacing the gas and putting in a fuel additive Since the estimate was comparable to the cost of buying a new mower, I told them I needed to think about it, and would call them back
I called them back asking to see whether anything could be done to reduce this cost, and the representative seemed to be confused as to whether I had already OK'd the work, and as to whether the work had already been done I stated that I had not approved the quote, and was put on hold while the rep went to get Cindy After a few minutes of that, the representative came back and said that Cindy was busy, and would call me back; I asked her to call me later on in the day, when I would be available to talk
Cindy called back before I was available, and left a message saying she understood that I had told the representative not to fix the mower, and it was available for pickup I called back when I was available so that I could correct this misunderstanding, was put on hold again, and eventually told that Cindy was busy
I called back the next day, was put on hold for the third time, and handed over to Cindy We talked about the quote, and I asked for the prices associated with the work She didn't break it down any more, but repeated what the two line items were-- "parts" and "labor" I told her that the quoted repair price was comparable to a new mower, asked if there was anything we could do to reduce the quote, and was told that she would look at it and call me back
Cindy failed to call me back, so I called to check with her, was put on hold for the fourth time, and eventually hung up out of frustration The next day, I called back again, was put on hold a fifth time, and eventually transferred to Cindy, who apologized for not returning my call She said that she spoke with the owner, and was unable to reduce the quoted price at all I said I was disappointed, and told her that I would be in to pick up the mower
When I went in to pick up the mower, they charged me for replacing the gas, using a fuel additive, sharpening the blade, and labor for inspection Since I was ready to just be done with it, I paid the fee, waited around while they searched for the mower, and eventually had to help them locate it
Upon getting back home, I decided to check to see whether the blade had in fact been sharpened; it hadn't

I order a mower part and paid the $price I was quotedAfter deducting the $from my account they called and said they needed $more
On Tuesday April 19th I called Mountian Enterprises and ordered a carburetor which I made for in full, a $purchaseI explained I needed the part immediatelyThey called me the following afternoon stating that the part had gone up in price and needed an additional $I informed the that I had already paid them and would not be giving them anymore moneyThe $has been removed from my account and no part providedThese are very poor business practices
Thank you

Over charging and under performing of services to lawn mowing equipment
My son took our lawn mower into Mountain Enterprises on May 15th to have it serviced At that time we were told on the telephone, by ***, that it would take 7-days due to a slight backup
On May 25th my son called them from my home to inquire about the mower and we were told that it should be within the next few days On May 26th I was called and given a quote of $to have the repair work done, to which I agreed At that time I was also told that it would be completed within a couple of days
On May 31st my son again called to inquire about the status of the lawn mower as it had now been over weeks He was told they were waiting on a part to come in which was due in that day and that once it arrived it would be completed by the following day
On June 2nd I called them and spoke to *** regarding the status of the mower He told me that the part was due to arrive by UPS that afternoon
