Complaint: 10766169
I am rejecting this response because:Mountain heating worked on our boiler in may after a home inspection revealed that it was not functioning. We were told that the work was completed and the boiler was tested and functioning properly. the sale of the home fell thru and we received another offer in July. The Buyers has a home inspection done on august 11th and it was noted that the boiler was not functioning. Our realtor contacted Mountain Heating and told the,m that the boiler was still not working. Our realtor was told that they were unable to come out to look at the problem at that time so that we could resolve the problem for the Buyer. We decided to have another heating contractor take a look at the boiler. Our realtor was told that the ignitor which was replaced by mountain heating was old and not functioning anymore. a new ignitor was left behind but was the wrong part. WE had the ignitor replaced again by the other heating contractor and the boiler was working fine after that. At that time our realtor asked for a refund because the part was not replaced as stated. The technician who said he relaxed the ignitor no longer works for mountain heating. I feel that we have been cheated out of $350. We had to pay another $200 to have the work done a second time. I feel that mountain heating needs to stand behind it's work and if the work was not done as stated the money should be refunded. I feel that we as the customer have the right to have someone else take a second look and should not  to be forced to give our business to someone who did not do the job correctly. this boiler is for our in floor heating system and had we not had a second offer on the home and found the boiler not working we would have assumed that everything was up to par. This could have caused major problems for us come winter had our heating tubes frozen. I think that $350 is a drop in the bucket considering that frozen lines could have caused 10s of thousands of dollars.Mountain heating would have been responsible for the damage.

Dear Revdex.com, I have received a complaint. The customer had called in May and we had sent out a service tech. The service tech did do work on the boiler and the boiler was functioning when he finished. The customer paid the bill and we did not here from them again until I...

received an email from the realtor in August saying that another heating contractor had gone in and said that we hadn't done our job. The realtor asked that I refund my customer. I explained to the realtor that I was not notified of any problem. If I had been notified of any problem we would have gone back and taken care of the problem at no charge. I explained to the realtor that I couldn't just take another company's word to justify a refund without checking the work myself. I also asked the realtor for permission to forward the emails between him and I to the Revdex.com. I did not get a reply. I have been in business for 11 years. I have completed over 4000 invoices locally in Leadville. I have never before had someone who had an issue that did not come to me with the problem. I have a very good reputation in this community and several surrounding communities. I have been working in this field for 23 years. It is upsetting to receive a complaint. This is my stance on this matter.Respectfully,Brian F[redacted]OwnerMountain Heating
