Our hourly rate is $an hourHowever, we quoted Mrs*** $300-$to complete the job as the line to the hose bibb was encased in Rock and MortarA laborer was present on the job to save time and moneyThe hourly rate for a helper is $to relieve some of the work to the
customer instead of charging $an hour for a plumber to do the same workThis saves time and money to our client. The plumber did need to go back to the office to get a mini jack hammer (not a drill) to bust up the rock and mortarWe do not carry these on the trucks as they are considered equipment/ not toolsHaving to go back to the office was time and money spent out our pocket as this was a quoted job of $300-$
The final bill came to $We gave Mrs*** a senior discount of 5% making the bill $I feel we have done everything possible to accommodate Mrs*** and met every expectation we gave herWe do not understand why she is now complaining about the bill when the job was verbally quoted to her and a filled out invoice was given to her at the time of completion of the job of which she signed and dated

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.First of all, yes they came out and looked at the site They never marked ANYTHING with paint, string, etcbecause that wasn't part of their bid I did ask them to mark the gas line and they told me they could not do that All digging was done by me according to my approved plans which are attached as well Their proposal states right on there that they are not responsible for any trenching/excavation The gas line and trench were dug prior to their site visit I dug down 32" and YES they stated we should dig down another inches just to be safe I don't feel that coming to my job site and stating a sentence justifies $ Also, they were wrong I spoke to the city code enforcement officer and we only have to go down 30" for the frost line Furthermore, none of their "consulting fees" were ever agreed upon, discussed, or outlined in any invoicenor did I sign anywhere to authorize They clearly just made up these numbers/charges I don't think they're even licensed plumbers?
Attached is their material's list which they did not provide until several days after my deposit was deducted I requested it the day I picked up my check in person and was denied None of my calls were returned It is not dated and poorly hand written In conclusion, we agreed upon providing plumbing to my cottage and that was it That didn't happen because of unforeseen circumstances But it doesn't mean they can keep whatever money they wish from my deposit No work was ever performed that involved plumbing If they want to charge $300/hour to do a site visitthen I want their job!
Regards,*** ***

We were never asked to mark the gas line** *** just asked where we thought the gas line should run.All digging was done by *** *** according to the approved plans as trenching was not included in our proposal. Their proposal states right on there that we are not responsible for any trenching/excavation We made several visits to the site before and while the gas line and trench were dug.We had several hours vested into the jobNot just one.The Code enforcement officer he spoke to is terribly wrongCity code for water lines is 36" City code used to be 30" but was changed several years ago.Any business charges for their time vested into a job. It is beyond our control that the job was held off at last minute due to *** ***'s unforeseen circumstancesNo numbers or charges were made up.Mountain High Plumbing has been a licensed contractor for over years.Mr*** requested to pick up the materials list from our secretary when he came to pick up his checkShe did not know where it was at and tried contacting me but I was unavailableA copy of the materials list was emailed to *** *** the following dayHe was never denied access to the materials list. All received calls were either returned or responded to by email. Why would we date a materials list? It is not written for the consumers recordsIt is written so we can order materials and is for our use*** *** wanted a copy of it and I was more than willing to do so as I didSorry it is poorly written and not dated but once again it a list our plumber put together to order materials for the job we were supposed to start the following day.Once againthe unforeseen circumstances were beyond our controlWe were hired to do the plumbing, had several hours invested in the job and *** *** cancelled on us last minute. We had every right to keep 100% of the depositThat's what a deposit is for but being the honest company we are, we felt it was best to return *** *** his deposit with what we had vested into the job deducted. No work was ever performed that involved plumbing because the job was cancelled last minute

I was given a quote of $95 an hr and will not accept inflating the bill by adding additional costs.  NOTHING was ever mentioned that there would be an extra cost for the second person whom I might add did nothing but follow the other person around and screw in 2 screws!!!!   The tech in the beginning only estimated the time the work would take and in reality it took only 2 hrs including their 1/2 hr trip to get the tools!!!!
I did tell the tech when he was here that I disapproved of the charges (extra person $47.50 and 1/2 hr charge for getting tools $47.50) but as a 75 yr old woman, I was not about to confront 2 men and jeopardize my personal safety which is why I paid the bill when the job was done.  Immediately the next day, I went over to the company office to speak to the owner but he wasn't there. When he called me 2 days later he was very rude and didn't even know my particular situation.  He alluded to a foundation that the tech drilled at my house.  No such thing occurred.  He was not at my house to be privy to what the tech told me or obviously what was done.
Since their techs arrive in a large company van, the techs should come to a home to fix a problem with the necessary tools.
[redacted]I called this company because of the Revdex.com seal on their ads.[redacted]
I would be willing to compromise and accept a credit of $47.50 for the extra hourly charge that was added over and above the $95 an hr charge quoted to me.  That means I  would still be paying for the 1/2 hr charged to me to pick up tools.

A plumber from Mountain High Pluming tried to fix our hot water heater. He said he fixed it. The day after he "fixed" it it stopped working again. When I call back to ask the plumber to come back out and look at it, refused to believe me that it was not working. Furthermore he admitted that when he looked at it the first time he did not know how to fix it and still had no idea. He refused to make an appointment with me until I got a copy of our hot water manual. He was rude and incredibly unhelpful. I called the company to ask for a refund for the $300 dollars we paid. The manager also refused to believe me that the plumber did not fix the hot water heater. When I stated I wanted a refund because the plumber stated to "have no idea how to fix it then or now" the Manager got mad at me and was completely unprofessional and rude. This plumbing company has not only no idea how to do plumbing but no regard for customer service or common decency. I would not only tell people not to use this plumbing service, but I think that they should loose their ability to be a functioning business.

Review: Before starting, the tech quoted me $95 an hr to repair my plumbing problem. I agreed to that. When I rec'd the bill, there was an additional charge of $47.50 for a second guy. This was not quoted to me in the beginning that there would be an extra charge.

Additionally, the techs were gone a half hour (for which I WAS CHARGED!) to pick up a drill at their office

to do the job. Drills ARE tools to do a job and techs should come prepared with them.Desired Settlement: Credit of $47.50 and credit for half hour charge techs went to pick up the drill.

Review: We received a bid from Mountain High Plumbing on 7-30-2014 to perform plumbing services on our newly built cottage. In their proposal, the total was $6,229.19 with 40% of that due at "rough in" according to their written proposal. Prior to any "rough in" and out of our good nature, we submitted a check in the amount of $2,491.69. (40% of total cost)

During excavation of our trenches (which was agreed would be performed entirely by us and at our own costs) we hit a substance called gray basalt rock. Due to the unknown expenses of the excavation and learning of my mother having to be rushed to surgery, we cancelled any work from the plumbers several days in advance to them starting any work at all. When we requested our refund in the amount of $2,491.69, we were told money would be deducted for consulting fees and time spent gathering a materials list? The owner deducted $356 from our deposit (4 hours) without any approval from us either written or consensual.

We have a copy of the material's list which is hand written and may have taken no more than 5 minutes to compose. As for their consulting fees, we never agreed or permitted any such thing, nor does it disclose any of the costs in their proposal/contract. They did not mark anything on the ground, they did not participate in any trenching, aside from visiting the site to see about our progress.Desired Settlement: $356
