Renter petsThe complainants stated they rented a unit at *** *** from * *** *** and were told pets were allowed for rentersThis has never been true at *** ***Rules that were adopted as far back as November of 2007 prohibited pets for non ownersNo change has ever been made to the Rule that states only owners may have pets* *** *** was in error when they told the renters they could have a dogIf you need a copy of the Rules and the current Rules and Regulations, please let us know. Mountain Managers received an after hours call on 1/9/due to an incessantly barking dogThe renters were informed that that they were not permitted to have pets and * *** *** was also informed. The owner of the unit was sent a warning letter in January of reminding them that renters were not permitted to have petsIt is an owner's responsibility to make sure their rental management company has a copy of the Rules and Regulations. Whenever the owner signed a rental agreement with * *** ***, a copy of the Rules and Regulations should have been requested by * *** *** and provided by the ownerGenerally, this is procedure for rental management companies. Cable outTo the best of our knowledge, the cable was not out at *** ***. The statement by the complainant that the HOA did not pay the cable bill is blatantly falseThe cable bill is paid each month via automatic withdrawal from the HOA accountNo one at *** *** complained that there was a cable problemIf the Revdex.com Response MP CRenter Complaint Page 2 complainant had cable issues it was confined to their unitSince it was not reported, it was not addressedPerhaps * *** *** did not make it clear to the tenant that they should report such problems but we certainly take exception to the statement made by the renter. Recycling bin removedThe *** *** HOA has never paid for recycling servicesA recycling bin mysteriously appeared along with quite a few other itemsWhen this was discovered, it was removed and picked up by the trash companyThe complainant jumped to conclusions by assuming that recycling was availableIn any case, whether or not recycling is made available is not something a renter can dictate; it is an HOA decision. We're sure the renters were upset when told they could not have a dog at *** *** but that is no excuse for making accusations with no proofThey may not understand how an HOA operates but * *** *** certainly should.
