I am not accepting Platt's Towing's response because I stand by the fact that it would have taken less time and would have been safer to simply jump start my car at the scene He put himself and my daughter in more danger by hooking our car up and pulling into traffic to then go to an emergency vehicle turn around and pull into freeway speed traffic again WITH my daughter and her boyfriend in the vehicle (tow truck) Had he jumped our vehicle at the scene, which the vehicle was on the left shoulder of the freeway and there was a Wisconsin State Patrol vehicle with it's lights on, he and my daughter would have been on their way safely in a few minutes A bit about our vehicle, it is a Dodge Stratus with the battery on the left side of the vehicle Since the vehicle was on the left shoulder and the battery is on the left side of the vehicle; it could have been jumped and on the way It was more dangerous to hook the vehicle, as stated earlier Also, I do not think it was professional of him to fuel his vehicle prior to jumping our vehicle and then demanding $cash I usually use AAA when my vehicle needs a tow or jump or what have you, so then I do not have to pay When I have had to have something done to my vehicle and did not have AAA; the company always took a check or credit card These were college kids, what if they would not have had the cash or needed me to phone with a credit card? Would he have not allowed her to leave? I did phone the company the next day and asked why they did not simply jump it and he was rude and extremely obnoxious to me He told me that I do not know what happens in situations of this nature I have never had someone tow my vehicle for unnecessary reasons or not tell me what they were doing or why He did NOT explain anything to my daughter or her boyfriend when they were asking why he was hooking the vehicle up That is very unprofessional! I am a professional woman and would and have NEVER done anything without explaining or chatting with my clients

Sorry for any hard feelings on this issueI instruct all my drivers to load or tow any motorist on the Interstate hwy as quickly and safely as possible do to the growing numbers of traffic fatalities in our industryIt is extremly dangerous to work on vehicles on the side of the roadway such
as tire changes, out of gas, jump starts, it is much safer for everybody involved to tow the stranded vehicle to the nearest safe havenAs far as the $charge I feel that is more than fair for an after hours service call of this nature

After the experience that I had with the tow truck driver (he threatened to tow my car while I was in it and even went as far to back his truck into my car and started lowering the flatbed all while I was behind the wheel of my car) he was unprofessional and I do not want to see him again.
