Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The doors at the store are not my doorsWhen I dropped them off, I was told it would be a week and if they were done prior to that, I would receive a call. Whether my doors were sold to someone else or shipped to a job site, is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that the doors they tried to pass off as mine were not mine. I needed the job to be done by March 11th, when my wife went in for her C section for our son. The doors were the final project for our nursery. Since the doors were not the ones I dropped off, I have since purchased more doors, painted them again (coats on both sides, one primer and coats of *** *** White Dove). I paid a friend of mine to trim the doors to fit in the opening and to prep them for hinges. Both doors were hung and in place prior to returning home from the hospital on March 14th with our son. If someone from the Revdex.com would like, take a ride to Mountain Millwork and look at the doors. The white paint on the one side of each door looks like primer, not paint, and nowhere near the *** *** White Dove that both of the doors I dropped off there were painted with on both sides. At this time, I would like to be refunded the $I paid to have the work done. It's obvious that the doors at the store are not mine.
Regards,
*** ***

Customer [redacted] dropped off doors on February 25, 2014 that...

had been purchased at [redacted] to be used in a twin door application. He had stated that the said doors had been painted. .
We took the time to explain to this customer that in order to his 24x80 inch full and squared doors into an opening of 47 5/8 We would have to cut down the width and restick doors with raw wood. The customer gave us the information on hinge location, and size of hinge square and or radius. I then asked the customer if he wanted a ball catch on the closet doors, he responded to all of my questions and I wrote everyone down verbatim.
I then told the customer that our shop is out a week, and very busy so I would call him upon completion. On March 5th our shop came to retrieve the doors out of the store. The same day the customer called looking for them. The customer came to pick up the doors later that day refusing that they where his. [redacted] Deals with the [redacted] Company, we do take in customer doors from other companies but we do not stock [redacted] doors nor did We have any other doors which where painted on 1 side only. We tried to talk to the customer but he was insistent that those where not his doors. In regards to the wark that was authorized by the customer, He would still need to paint the doors anyway. The doors remain in my shop Waiting for our customer to pick them up.

Review: On February 24, 2014, I dropped off 2 new doors that were purchased at [redacted]. The doors were 24" x 80". They were both painted White Dove ([redacted], on both sides, front and back, top, bottom, and sides. The doors were to be shaved to fit a closet opening of 47 5/8". They were also to have the hinges prepped. The salesman, [redacted], advised me that they will be ready in one week and would call when they were ready. On Wednesday, March 5th, after not hearing from anyone, my wife, [redacted] (9 months pregnant) called and was told that they were just pulling the doors in to work on them and they would be ready later in the day or tomorrow. At 217pm, I received a call from [redacted], saying the doors were ready. I went there around 330 and paid the bill with cash ($124.03). I received a receipt and responded to the warehouse in back and was given 2 doors that were trimmed, prepped for hinges and had a ball catch on each one (something I knew nothing about). I told the stock person that the doors were not mine as they were only painted on one side of each door. He told me that they were the only ones back there. I left with the doors but was very uncomfortable because I knew they were not the ones I dropped off a week and a half earlier. I called [redacted] and told them my belief that somehow the doors I brought in were somehow switched. He said there was no way that those were not my doors. I brought them back and spoke with [redacted]. I again explained to him that my doors were painted on both sides and these were not mine. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said he was the supervisor. Another gentleman came outside and I told him the same thing I told [redacted]. He said the doors were painted and had to be mine because they dont carry the same door. I told him I was 150% sure they were not mine. He went to the back warehouse and came out a short time later and said that there were no other matching doors so he was confident they were mine. I left doors at storDesired Settlement: I would like the doors I dropped off to be found or recovered and the work agreed upon to be done. At request, I will supply the name of our painter who painted both sides of both doors, including all edges and tops and bottoms. No markings were visible on the top, bottom, or sides of doors I dropped off. (doors that were passed off as mine had visible writing on top or bottom edges)
