These guys are fantastic. We hired them for a complex move between three residences and a storage facility and it went like clockwork. [redacted] and [redacted] were caring, professional, and personable. We couldn't have made a better choice.

Review: I found Mountain Movers on craislist.com through one of their posted services. I texted them to arrange moving date, time, rate, and gave them the information about our old place and new place. The service we asked for was for 3 movers and a truck, and they texted back for the rate of $70/hr. We confirmed the move for 10/**/15, at 10:00am, for 3 movers and a truck for $70/hr. I have mentioned to them that our old building is a walk up, and new building has elevators. All the information is still in my text. During the day of the move, the movers shows up 3 hours and 40 minutes late, with higher rates and other fees that were not mentioned before. The movers said the rate is $75/hr, and $35 additional for each set of stairs. The mover took out a generic contract, and wrote all those things down on the contract.

During that moment, it felt like a scam and they could list any price/fee they wanted. When we schedule for the movers, we only have that one day to move, and everything was planned with the new building to reserve the elevator, and for us to leave before month end. It felt like either we agree to their terms, or we're stuck and won't be able to move. If I didn't go with them, I would have to pay a lot for to find a last minute mover.

So the moving takes place with them, and they want everything to be paid in full before they unload anything at our new place. The movers estimated 3.5 hours to unload, but we said that it would not take 3.5 hours to unload, and we can help with the unloading. He went on to say that he's been in the business for a long time, so he knows it'll take 3.5 hours to unload. He then went on to say if they finish early, they will refund the amount based on how early they finish. We helped with the unload, and we finished in about 1.5 hours. Since the hours round up, we're suppose to get back $75.

When the job was done, the driver refused to return the money, and said we had to call and talk to their office about a refund. The driver had someone from the office call me, while he was still there. The person from the office said it's against policy for the driver to negotiate or give refunds. We argued back and forth on the phone, and the driver took off with the truck.

we never got any final receipt, and the offices is not returning our calls or texts.Desired Settlement: Honor the rate that was quoted to us on the text, and the refund that we're suppose to get for finishing the job early.

Review: SCAM!! These guys totally ripped us off! I booked for 2 hours and the first tip off something was wrong-- they showed up an hour late. My boyfriend called them and they actually told him that I had cancelled because I "had cramps". WHAT?? That's too bizarre for words. But wait...it gets worse.

These sweaty Ukrainian guys show up and in their terrible English, start complaining to us. I should note here that the move was about 15 milk crate sized boxes. In an elevator building! The entire move fit into a freaking mini van, even. Then they kept telling my boyfriend how much they like smoking weed! (Side note: they went as far as to steal beer out of our fridge when we weren't looking. Seriously. Beer. Out of our fridge. Wow.) Anyway, of course the hapless movers dropped an ornate glass statue, weighing about 5 pounds. Glass shattered every where. Did they offer to clean it up? NO.

They get to the new apartment and start bringing bxes on the sidewalk. One of them comes upstairs and demands $50 extra. We booked @ hours. The entire moving from the first apartment to the second took all of 45 minutes! Then they wanted payment for 3 hours! Being gullible we paid them the original rate, plus an extra $50 they demanded AND being the nice guy my boyfriend is-- he tipped them another 50!

Smelly guy goes outside and proceeds to drive away. WITH OUR BELONGINGS ON THE SIDEWALK!

I've tried to call repeatedly, with no answer. I did get a text reply back saying "[redacted]"

Words cannot explain how badly burned we are. I hope no one else uses these frauds and gets ripped off like we did!Desired Settlement: I would like this business to refund the money I paid them to deliver services that were not recieved
