Please accept our apology for the delayed response with respect to this complaint. Through mid to late August, Mountain Ridge had recently hired new staff and our management was away on...

vacation. Due to these circumstances, this complaint was not brought to our attention until September 9. We have full intentions to deal with this matter in a timely manner.
Mountain Ridge operates as a short and long term rental property for residents living in the Watford and North Dakota area who's employment is primarily driven by the Oil Industry. Due to the nature of the area's primary industry, we do not profile any residents or potential residents. We currently rent 7 of our 15 cabins, as well our lower lodge as office space, to an Oil Field Servicing company. With the recent price of oil, increased volume of available rental units and hotels, and an increased amount of layoffs, we have noticed a vacancy rate of 60-70% in 2015. Due to these market conditions, we find it unreasonable for Mr. [redacted] to claim he was unable to find suitable accommodation.
At Mountain Ridge we process all of our potential tenants in the same manner. We do not operate on securing advanced reservations and every tenant is required to fill out an application and provide first months rent and a security deposit prior to possession.
Mr. [redacted] initially called to reserve a cabin for 2-3 months, which we agreed to do upon our approval of his application and receiving a security deposit and first months rent; which is our standard policy and procedure. Upon his arrival, Mr. [redacted] notified our on site property manager he preferred not to fill out the application and was unable to pay the required deposit. Due to his decision, we were unable to complete the transaction. Following this event, he returned to the site proposing that he move in today and pay a week later when he received his first pay check. Due to our past experiences, we maintain our policy that all prospective tenants complete a standard North Dakota rental application and provide us with a security deposit. After multiple attempts to access a cabin without completing required prepossession steps, our property manager notified us of the situation and that she felt uncomfortable due to his persistence. She asked him politely to leave the property and that was the last correspondence any representative from Mountain Ridge had with Mr. [redacted].
We strive to maintain and enforce industry standard rental policies with all of our tenants and prospective tenants. Our reputation is very important to us and we look forward to ensuring the Revdex.com and [redacted] are satisfied with the resolution of this complaint.

This is absolutely false and I have three different people to confirm that this is a made up story!!! This is on par with the way this business handles all their dealings. I have never been interested in renting a cabin for multiple months as I have my camper here. It's just that it is too small for me and my family of four. Their was a bicycle race here that weekend and all the hotels were full and the cabins do take more notice than just showing up that night. So I definitely did have a hard time finding anywhere (affordable) to stay. I was forced into renting a 170$ a night hotel because all the affordable ones were taken. I have never personally met anyone from mountain ridge so it would be impossible for them to have ever asked me to leave the property. Once again these people have a problem with telling the truth. I do in fact have three witnesses and a couple others who know the story here and this is not it. Their property manager also stated to other people that she did not want to hire to Pipeliners. That came out of her mouth. She wasn't a temporary employee either. She was whom these people hired to run their operation. These people have taken advantage of the influx of temporary workers and by advantage I don't mean advantageous. Classic case of greed and dishonesty. I am not satisfied with this reply and if need be I will bring forth witnesses to can verify the troubles I unnecessarily went through due to these people unfair business practices
