Workmanship was NEVER acceptable Unfortunately we believed Rich would make true on his word and repair We gave ample time for numerous attempts at repairSee attached photos....paint was not going to cover drywall issues Room and doorway additions had to be completely removed and redone due to shoddy workWe paid Rich F [redacted] and 1/of the items on our original contract we NEVER even touched due to his price increases/changes WITHOUT a SINGLE change order He would "update" his invoices and all prices were adjusted - no notice, no warning Rich attempted to double charge us for his workmanship errors (plus additional commission and "taxes") The only change order we made was to open a doorway AND WE PAID FOR IT!Rich discounted final bill because we HAD TO PAY TO HAVE HIS WORK RE-DONE AND REPAIRED In response to his comment about filing a complaint with the registrar....again, we were duped He told us HE HAD a CONTRACTOR's LICENSE when in fact HIS was revoked He works under someone else's license (reasons are now obvious) We have since learned these billing tactics are not a new thing with Rich We hope Rich has learned a lesson and will not take another trusting homeowner for a ride That is all that we ask for

Client verbally approved all of the changes that were requested and we trusted her to pay us when completedIf the client agreed to make 84% of payments requested and then disputed the final invoice it tells me she was not intending to make a final payment anyway, Since all workmanship was
acceptable for 84% of the jobShe was very unreasonable at the end as she wanted to cheat us out of the final paymentWe made a few attempts to satisfy her issues, however some clients are unreasonableLike asking for the windows to be cleaned while house is under constructionLike asking for drywall to be 100% before first coat of paintAfter the first coat then all drywall gets final punch before 2nd coat of paint.Like requesting dimmers changed and agreeing to an upcharge for Leviton as that wasn't on the scope of workThen not paying us when requestedAsking for doorways to be reframed and then not paying usON and on, then we agreed to discount 1/of final invoice (not agreeing to any fault in workmanship) and she threatened to file a complaint with the registrarAlso asked for main fireplace to be framed flush and then said her installer wants it different, so we did it and she wouldn't pay for itSo we agreed to forgive final payment as our record has never been flawedAnd since some people expect work for free, we only request to be paid when we do our job
