This is in reference to the complaint issued by the Revdex.com on behalf of *** *** for billing Any person who comes to the Emergency Department will automatically get a series of labs as “standing orders” depending on their signs and symptoms Any additional exams will
be determined by the emergency room providers treating the patient The emergency room providers are from the *** Group There are signs clearly mark and posted in the emergency room that state that the ED providers are from an “Independent Emergency Physician Group” and that they will and may bill separately for treatment All providers wear ID badges with their names on it and the ID badge has a “blue” strip with the word “Physician” on it Reimbursement is based on contracts with individual insurance payors Mr*** was given the opportunity to get an itemized statement from the hospital However; because his wife was the patient, she was the one who had to request that information and give consent Mr*** nor his wife ever came to the hospital to get an itemized statement or speak to someone in Financials about the bill.If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call me.Thank You*** *** | Risk Management | Laredo Medical Center*** ** *** *** | Laredo, Texas, | Tel: (*** | Fax: (***)*** | http: //***
