I have been trying to think how I can prove that I did not touch anything on your unit other than
the door to open and show your unit one time. The buyers did not even open up any outside
compartments. I came up with the fact that I took pictures of your unit the day after you dropped
it off with me, to do advertising. In the enclosed pictures it shows the jacks exactly where you left
it with me at. Also, when you came to pick it up the jacks were at the exact height that you just
drove your truck under and hooked it up. It would be virtually impossible to get that camper
back to the exact height so that you could drive your truck right under and hook up.
As for the $250 consignment fee, when I explained our consignment program to you on the phone,
I told you if you took your trailer before 90 days you would owe the $250 fee. We charge this fee
because of our time showing it and because we have cost incurred to advertise it. I believe this fee
is very reasonable. In fact other dealers charge much more for PDI’s and %’s, perhaps this is why
you chose us to begin with.
I would suggest that you call Big John's and ask their technician about operating your jack legs with your battery not being connected. This could have been the source of your board burning up.
I am so sorry of your financial problems and having to sell your camper fast. I wish I could have helped you sell it quicker, but at this time I do not think there is anything further I can accommodate you with.
Thank you,

To Whom It May Concern,
class="Apple-tab-span"> May 28, 2014
The customer brought in his 2013 Palamino Maverick Truck Camper and signed a consignment agreement, stating that he would pay our $250 consignment fee if he chose to take his unit o our lot before 90 days. He also signed and initialed a paragraph stating that Mountain States RV would have exclusive advertising rights during those 90 day - which he broke to  nd his buyer. Lastly, he initialed a paragraph stating “OWNER holds BROKER harmless for any property loss or bodily injury or liability and further agrees to indemnify BROKER from any claims arising out of consignment.”
When he dropped off  his unit he lowered the jack legs himself and the camper was left exactly where he dropped it o .  We showed the unit one time during the three weeks it was here. It was never hooked up to any electricity,  any of the appliances run or the jack legs operated.
Unfortunately the customer was upside down in his unit and we were not able to sell it quick enough and get his asking price. He paid his fee and proceeded to load up his camper. His jack legs were not working and he accused us of damaging them. This would be impossible since they were never operated by Mountain States RV.  I had our tech go out to see if he could help. He took his voltage meter to check if they were getting power and he accused the tech of messing with his batteries. The tech told me that his batteries were taped up and hooked up improperly. The tech thought this along with the fact that he was running the jacks o  of his truck probably killed his board.  I told the tech to let him borrow what he needed but not to touch anything unless we had written authorization since this customer was behaving irrationally.
I told the customer that we could help him but we did not break his unit. We did not operate his jacks at all and we never did anything other than open the door and show one customer the unit. He did not want to listen to anything we had to say and was very irate.
He is right, sitting on our lot did not burn-up his electric jacks. Unfortunately things brake on RV’s ,especially electrical and it is beyond our control. We would have gladly help him out at a reduced rate if he would have listened. But we are not going to take responsibility for something on his trailer that we never touched.
As for the consignment fee, he understood the terms of the contract when he signed it. We allowed him even to bring his customer on our lot and sell his unit to help him out. Considering, we spent money advertising his unit for three weeks and he fully knew the fee if he picked up his unit before 90 days, we feel that the $250 consignment fee is a reasonable and fair charge.
Thank you,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have no idea what they did to my truck camper after I dropped it off. but they tampered with the electric jacks or the electrical board. I've had the camper for 1.5 years and never had a problem with it parked in my backyard. yes, they are right, I dropped it off and it was fully working. and when I picked it up its not. they are lying and they burned the electric jacks. [redacted]  told me someone was not interested in the camper because of a dent. there was no dent, that was a common mark from sliding it on to the back of the truck. I got suspicious right then. they probably didn't buy it because the electric jacks didn't work. I also signed a consignment which did not state $250 early pickup. it only stated 90 days minimum. I found out about the $250 when I called to pick it up. these people are making up stories about a perfectly brand new camper sitting there and braking on its own after only being used once. that makes perfect sense, ha ha.
