Mountain States Property Services Inc Reviews (2)

I rented a property from mountain states property services in Aug of 2015 the property had damages, due to the previous renters which have yet to be fixed 9 months later as well as the landlord had my entire master bathroom torn apart for 2 months with no flooring no dry wall or anything resemble a bathroom. Also he contracted a roofing crew and did not tell us they would be coming, knowing I work nights and sleep during the day keeping me up all day. He also showed up to my houseet himself in, in order to show the property to potential renters Without notice and while I was sleeping

I have been renting a house with this property service since August of 2016 and so far it has been nothing but a disaster. In September my bedroom in the basement started having a strong moldy smell inside it and the carpet outside of my room was soaked. The landlord came over and inspected the furnace room downstairs and determined that there was a leak in the pipes. This was on a Sunday. It took all the way until the following Thursday for a plumber to come out and fix the leak, leaving my room uninhabitable for the entirety of that time due to the moldy smell. I paid full amount of rent to sleep on the couch in my home for that entire week. Not to mention the fact that once the pipe was fixed, they waited another two days to get carpet cleaners out there. Fast forward to three weeks later, and I wake up in the middle of the night to the sound of heavily gushing water coming from under my bathroom sink and flooding my entire bathroom and the carpet in my room surrounding it. I took half the day off of work to wait for a plumber and another two days to wait for a carpet cleaner to dry up the soaked wet spots. Meanwhile my landlord, Anthony S[redacted], was nothing but condescending and insisted that I explain to him exactly what was wrong with the pipes instead of contacting the professional plumber who had come out. I explained to him over and over again that I am not a professional plumber and that I would not be the best person to explain what was wrong with the pipes. Still he refused to contact the plumber that he hired and continued to question my logic with needing a carpet cleaner. Fast forward to about another three weeks later. My roommates and I came home late on a Friday night to the refrigerator in the kitchen leaking all over the kitchen floor. We cleaned it up and went to bed. The next morning I woke up to the ceiling of the basement leaking all over the carpet and water bubbles forming in the ceiling. I immediately called the landlord Anthony and calmly and cordially explained to him what had happened. His immediate response was to jump down my throat with accusations, claiming that he never had issues with tenants in that house until I moved in and accused me of going around the home and breaking things on purpose. He then blamed me for failing to get an invoice from the plumber for the previous flooding for him, even though that's not my responsibility. I then told him that it was his responsibility as my landlord to follow up with the vendors and fix any flooding or leaking in the house. He then said that it was not his responsibility to fix because I was apparently breaking things on purpose, which is a ludicrous accusation that he has absolutely no proof of. I told him that I would be calling a lawyer and hung up. He immediately called my roommate and didn't believe that there was leaking until my roommate confirmed this. We got an appliance repairman out later that morning who verified that none of this was our fault, and that a valve broke in the refrigerator causing it to leak into the basement due to the floor not being waterproof. I have recorded documentation of the appliance man saying this. I would never recommend that anyone rent properties from Anthony S[redacted]. He is entirely rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. A terrible businessman. If you are considering renting with this property management company, turn around and run away now.
