I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Although the work provided was mediocre and the business owner's attitude toward me was harsh and somewhat hostile, the work has been completed. I would not recommend LB Construction Services to any consumer. Mr. [redacted]'s attitude and lack of communication is unacceptable for a business. No business owner should tell their customer they are "playing games" and demand their garage code when they are not home.

5/17/16Before the homeowner’s complaint was filed, LB Construction Services attempted to make contact to address the caulking issue. We went by their home and called but no one answered either the door or the phone. Our business card was left in the door. After the homeowner’s complaint was filed LB Construction Services texted to set up an appointment to address the issue. The homeowner responded by texting that 4:30 p.m. on May 12th would be the best time for her for us to come out. On the 12th we sent one of our employees to fix the cracked caulking. We texted the homeowner to let her know that he was in her driveway. She informed us that she was not home. Since LB Construction Services already had their garage code from when we worked on their house before, we asked if we could just enter the home to complete the job. The homeowner replied that Friday the 13th would work better for her for us to come back out. We then set up a time for the 13th at 9:30 a.m. Our employee made another trip out to their home where he fixed the cracked caulking. The homeowner’s husband said that the job looked great, and he was satisfied with the repair.  He then apologized about his wife’s behavior and told us that they were indeed very happy with the quality of LB Construction Services’s remodel of their kitchen.LB Construction Services has a 1-year warranty policy on our work.  It states that at the 11-month mark we will come out to complete final touch-ups on the project.  The homeowner in this case asked if we would address the cracked caulking issue in December 2015, well ahead of the 11-month mark. The remodel of their kitchen was completed at the end of August 2015. As stated before, we advised the homeowner to fix the caulking issue in late spring 2016 when their furnace was no longer running. If we would have tried to fix it in December 2015 like they requested, the caulking would have cracked again because of the lack of humidity in the air.LB Construction Services relies on referrals for our business. We realize that while we cannot make everyone happy, we try our best to resolve any issues. We apologize if the homeowner thinks there was a break-down in communication. But we feel the homeowner understood in December 2015, that this issue could not be addressed and quality work could not be performed until late spring 2016.

In early winter of 2015, Mrs. [redacted] questioned about the caulk in the kitchen cracking. I assured her that this sometimes can happen because of the lack of humidity in the air. I asked for her to contact me in the late spring when they were no longer running their furnace. Cracked caulking can only...

be corrected when there is humidity in the air, or the problem can reoccur. I received Mrs. [redacted]’s email in mid-March about fixing the cracking in the caulk. It is now time to do quality caulking jobs, as their cabinet & top should be tight together. If caulked to soon the caulking would have pushed out when the weather changed. I understand sometimes homeowners get a little anxious to get things done, and they don’t always remember the conversation; they just want quick results. I could have caulked it in when I went to their house and saved myself a trip, but that was not the right time to fix it.  I returned her call two different times but did not leave a message. I also came to their home in April and left my card in the door, as no one was home. LB Construction Services prides ourselves on quality work. We know that good communication is a huge part of having satisfied homeowners. We plan to contact Mrs. [redacted] again to send someone over to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
