Customer, [redacted] [redacted] brought a Husqvarna weed wacker to my shop for repair on 8/1/The reason it took me so long to look at the weed wacker is because I had about customers ahead of him to serviceWhen I got to take a look at his equipment , I put fresh gas, new spark plug and a gas filterI could not keep the weed wacker running, only by spraying gas into the carburetorMy diagnosis was that he needed a carburetorI explained this to Mr [redacted] when he came to pick it up as to why I charged him $which was for the gas, spark plug and gas filter and my timeThat is why I have a sign posted that there is a mimimum charge of $for checking out any and all equipmentI feel the charge of $was justifiedPlease let me know if you have question or concernsThank you

I am rejecting this response because: I am also a small business owner in the computer service industryI would never treat my customers in this wayGiving the excuse that the service that properly repaired the unit replaced a carburetor gasket does not mean that he properly diagnosed itIf he "diagnosed the problem properly" he would not have told me that I need a carburetor he would have just fixed it as the other service didIf this business owner wants to spend much more than $in time and money defending himself in small claims court I will gladly oblige himThe simple solution would be for him to return the $that he charged for his incompetence.

there is a sign in my shop that clearly states there is a $25 minimum charge for checking out any and all equipment. The fee was for the evaluation, not the diagnosis. There was no charge for the diagnosis. I'm sorry that the customer was so unhappy with the minimum charge but as a small business owner in service industry, I have taken care of my customers for over 24 years and have never had a complaint. The bill that was submitted from [redacted] shows they replaced a carburetor gasket and a new primer which is part of a new carburetor. So my diagnosis was correct.
Customer, [redacted] brought a Husqvarna weed wacker to my shop for repair on 8/1/17. The reason it took me so long to look at the weed wacker is because I had about 20 customers ahead of him to service. When I got to take a look at his equipment , I put fresh gas, new spark plug and a...
gas filter. I could not keep the weed wacker running, only by spraying gas into the carburetor. My diagnosis was that he needed a carburetor. I explained this to Mr. [redacted] when he came to pick it up as to why I charged him $25 which was for the gas, spark plug and gas filter and my time. That is why I have a sign posted that there is a mimimum charge of $25.00 for checking out any and all equipment. I feel the charge of $25 was justified. Please let me know if you have question or concerns. Thank you.
