about **. [redacted] complaint, he decided not to trim his trees...

properly, he only wanted the bottoms trimmed up to keep the borough happy, they require 14 feet above the road and 8 feet above the sidewalk. the borough also requires that dead wood be removed no matter how high up it is.  these trees have never ever been trimmed. they were a mess to say the least. knowing that the borough would not be happy with all the dead wood hanging above the road,  I took them up about 25 feet above the road, it was all dead wood I was cutting. yes, I should've stopped at 14 feet like he wanted and left all that deadwood on the tree, but I know the borough wont stand for it and will make him do it. I tried to help him out the best I could and still stay close to the estimate of 400. witch was just that, an estimate.  he said I left one tree unfinished, all of his trees are unfinished, I left 2 limbs over the sidewalk on one of the trees, well above the 8 feet required by the borough, and they were alive, not dead. I can always come back and cut them but I cant put them back on. they're not big, take about 10 min.  he then made a comment about me being in the practice of over charging, that's a joke, anybody with half a brain knows you wont be in business very long if your over charging. the fact is my customer base goes back 21 years, I have customers that don't even want a price, they just tell me to do it and bill them, you don't get customers like that by overcharging. this is the first time I've heard from the Revdex.com about a complaint. I guess that's not to bad for 21 years. but it stills bothers me. what really bothers me about this person is his lack of responsibility, he had me take a live limb off over the driveway but totally ignored all the deadwood  everywhere. there still remains broken tops and deadwood in these trees that can come down on any given storm, but I don't think  he will spend the money to get them done. people like this is why the boroughs are cracking down on neglected trees.  the bottom line is I told him about 2 hours and around 400. its 215 per hour.    I charged him for 2 hours and 20 min. I've had these rates for the last 10 years. just ask any of my customers. I hope he gets another tree service in the near future, maybe then he'll realize what a good deal he got. I hope this doesn't have an impact on my A rating with the Revdex.com.   lets hope its another 21 years before I run into somebody like this again. thanks for your time

Mountain Top Tree service is first rate. They are professional, on time and provide the services that they agree to perform. The price was more than fair and they are a skilled service that you can trust. I hired them to perform a large tree removal situated among existing homes and after the work was completed you would never have known they were there. Highly recommended.
