Mountain View Billing Service Reviews (3)

I am rejecting this response because: The company still hasn't agreed to bill me the correct amount of $15.00. I have received an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company showing that they paid the provider $and that my copay is $15. This is the contracted amount between the insurance company and the provider The provider actually called me and told me that they were paid this amount. The company, Mountain View billing service still does not acknowledge that they should bill me the correct amount of $or simply write off the amount since it's been over months since the date of service. There is still an outstanding billing of $150.15. The Insurance company told me that the claim was resubmitted to them on 10/11/and they correctly paid the claim to the provider in the amount of $with my copay of $15. Despite this, I still have an outstanding billing of $150.15. The billing service obviously should know the contracted amount between the provider, their client, and insurance companies and that billing the patient double the amount of that contract is not right. It was the provider or billing services duty to submit claims properly and provide insurance companies with necessary information to process claims. If the claim is not processed correctly, the provider should contact the insurance company to determine what is necessary to correctly process the claimThe provider or billing service did not do this, but rather billed an amount double their contracted rate and refused to do what was necessary to handle the claim correctly
Sincerely,

*** was a client for *** *** which is one of my clientsWhen he registered with Mountain View Billing Services, Inche provided us with his insurance informationThe insurance he gave us to verify was GEHAMountain View did verify his benefits and *** did see ***After seeing
*** Mountain View submitted the claim to GEHA for them to processThe processed the claim to Mr*** deductible which left the balance to the responsibility of *** called us on May 14th and complained about getting a bill for the serviceWe in turn called GEHA and they said it would be reprocessed as in network instead of out of networkThis of course was no fault of *** or Mountain View as we have no control over how a claim is processedThe claim was never reprocessed and we did not hear from *** again for five monthsHe called on October 4th late in the afternoon ranting that he was going to sue Mountain View and *** for falsely charging himI pulled up the account and reassured *** that I would call GEHA and see what the issue was in getting the claim reprocessedUnfortunately they were closed for the dayI called them again October 5th and spoke to Patty at GEHA she was very apologetic and said we will get this taken care of right awayShe explained that the previous lady that Mountain View spoke to did not complete all the steps to achieve it being reprocessedShe furthermore called *** and left him a voicemail while I was on the line and said it was of no fault of Mountain View and was clearly their mistake and that the claim would be reprocessedTo date I have not received notice from *** that has been done however he has been out of town on vacationI am sure this has or will happen but again the contract is between the insurance company and the patient and Mountain View nor *** has any leverage on how they process this claim

I am responding to the response from [redacted] regarding his complaint. Since the last response I have gotten further documentation from GEHA regarding this matter. Please find that attached. You can see that GEHA is claiming full responsibility for the way they processed the claim to [redacted]'s deductible. It was clearly their error that they processed that claim as out of network. We have no control over the insurance company and how they process a claim. I have been in business for 29 years and have never given the name of my company out to my clients patients/clients. My contract is clearly between me and my client not me and their clients/patients. This is practice as usual and not an isolated incidence. I have nothing more to add other than this needs to be put to rest. ** was in network and GEHA processed this claim incorrectly. Kindly,Joann
