Mountain View Goodyear Tire Company nearly killed me....You did not torque the tires! Your companies comment that if not properly torqued the wheels would have loosened right awayNOT TRUE! I am just a grandmother not a expert, but WHEELS do not just fall offThis is just common sense!!! The repair mechanic that repaired our vehicle said that some of the other wheels were loose and could have also sheared offA wheel DOES NOT JUST fall off after miles or months unless your company did not properly torque the wheelsAll drivers go many thousands of miles and we do not see a lot of wheels just FALL OFF on the freewayIf not properly torqued it would take a constant back and forth and stress on the wheel over time to shear off all of the lugsThere was not one lug on that tire! Please tell me what the OTHER VARIABLES are ?? .....Our repair papers from you DID NOT have the torqued box checked....It was a COPY of your work sheet...Get real....WHEELS DO NOT JUST FALL OFFYour company nearly killed my husband and myself and probably or other drivers on that freewayYour company is negligent and you know itYour owe us is $

Vehicle was towed to shop with customer stating it had overheated on freeway and died 3 times.Preliminary inspection revealed...

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The shop explained that they performed chemical testing which showed NO damage not once but twice. Once before they fixed the radiator, water pump, thermostat housing unit and the pipe and after they fixed all that. If they knew that there was a possibility there was Ramage they could've advised me to fix the problem right then and there. It makes no sense to me as to why they would even let this problem go without fixing it. I still do not feel that I should be held responsible for the problem if they knew such thing could've happened.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2016/03/31) */
I don't believe we can add anymore to what we have already stated. It is an unfortunate set of circumstances. The repairs were required to be done in order to get the vehicle in running condition. We cannot condemn the entire engine before replacing the radiator, the water pump and the by pass [redacted] Those parts required replacing regardless. We advised the consumer of their options. The consumer feels they should not be held responsible for the repairs of the engine. Mountain View Tire feels they should not be held responsible for the repairs of the engine either. The vehicle came in on a tow truck overheating with multiple coolant leaks. It is likely and probable the head gaskets were compromised during the overheating process before it was towed to us. There were no visible signs of a blown head gasket after we repaired the leaking external items.
