Mountain West Anesthesia physicians are separate from the hospital, however, we do try as much as possible to obtain agreements with insurance carriers that are consistent with the hospital's list of network plans Mountain West Anesthesia has a contract with Aetna but unfortunately the insurance company has been unwilling or has been unable to process the claim utilizing that network We will go ahead and discount on our end as if they had processed and allowed correctly according to our Aetna agreement We have instructed the billing office to discount $which is in alignment with our Aetna in-network rates We are sorry about all the frustration this has caused and hope this will help.Mountain West Anesthesia

Because of the nature of our business, we have to rely on the hospital for information Unfortunately attorney fees now have to be paid We are willing to split them with the patient at this point in order to get this cleared up If half can be paid, we will pay the other half If this is agreeable, we will contact the collection agency and let them know of this arrangement.Mountain West Anesthesia

The patient's insurance [redacted] paid October 2, of leaving a copay due Statements were mailed to [redacted] (October 7, November 6, December 7, and January 6, 2016)Phone calls and messages left on November 12, 16, December December 10.Patient's father called December 10th.On December 29th verified address was the same as what the hospital had in their system.Additional messages were left on January and No mail was returned.Unfortunately because no response was made prior to the account being referred to a collection agency we do not have latitude on fees incurred.Mountain West Anesthesia

Mountain West Anesthesia physicians are separate from the hospital and separate from any surgeons office.  We are not required by any means to follow financial arrangements set up by other offices.  However, we do try as much as possible to follow the hospital's decision to discount...

account balances through the hospital's financial assistance program as long as confirmation can be obtain.  We have not denied financial aid but have only been trying to obtain a copy of the hospital's letter from Mr. [redacted] to confirm that a discount was given.  The hospital had previously noted that no discount was applied when they were contacted in August and again in October.  We were able today to speak to a supervisor in the hospital's financial aid department and verify verbally that they discounted their account down to a $50 copay.  A discount consistent with the hospital's will be granted.  $65 has been previously paid on the account so $15 will be refunded as there will only be a $50 copay due on the account.  Hope that clears thing up.  Thank you.
