[redacted]Mountainside Pools
Review: In June of 2013 I had to replace my pool pump and salt cell and I hired [redacted] from Mountainside pool for the job. The installation was smooth and everything was fine for the summer. In june of 2014 I noticed that there was no chlorine in my pool when I had my water tested. All chemicals were balanced at the time with the exception of water hardness. SunDevil Pool Supply tested the water. I added chlorine which I should not have to do as I purchased a $1000 dollar Salt Water Chlorinator the previous year. The next week I took the water to Leslie's Pool Supplies and had the water tested and again no chlorine so I had to add chlorine. I called [redacted] and told him the Salt Cell was broken and he said he would call SGS and they would send a person out to me. A week went by and I took the water in to be tested and SunDevil told me that in Arizona the Salt Cell Mountainside had installed was too small to keep up with the amount of gallons in my pool and any builder should have known you have to subtract 30 percent for Arizona and Florida. Another week went by and no contact from SGS so I called [redacted] again. this time I asked if the chlorinator was too small and he said no. To make a long story short I repeted this weekly testing several times and they always told me that my chlorinator was to small. Then winter came and the cool weather and low and behold there was chlorine in my pool but I thought I had drained it and the water hardness was lower so okay it must be good. Now forward to June of 2015 and the same exact id=ssues now rthat the weather is hot only this time I called SGS(the salt cell manufacturer) directly and spoke with tony who sent their tech [redacted] out and he informed me that the salt cell is too small for my pool. I tries to call Mountainside pools several times and left messages with no response.Desired Settlement: As I relied on Mountainside Pools to install the proper equipment to adequately clean and chlorinate my pool I feel they are responsible for not calculating which salt cell production correctly. I should not have to add chlorine at any time and this is according to the manufacturer of the salt cell(SGS) not another pool person. Mountainside Pools should replace the salt cell with the correct size. I have names and numbers for SGS if you need.
