Hello ***,Please find attached all documents related to [redacted] that you have requested. The first page you will find is her Work Order. The second page you will find is her signed Move Shield Limitations and Liability Form, where she acknowledged the purchase of additional insurance, and also acknowleged in section it states that 'the above listed items are subject to an additional fee of $per load or unload'.? The movers explained this to her, and maybe she didn't read over all the terms and conditions, but as I have explained, I gave her a $discount for moving her pinball machine.? The full price to move it would have been $100.00.? She received the service for $50.00.The next pages you will find the remaining customer signed insurance forms stating there was no damages caused to the property or premises due to operations of Move Cheap, LLC.? On the first page of this section she elected to write in that she was misquoted.? She was quoted for hours.? Her move took hours.? Our quotes are not binding as the customer decides how many hours to order. Finally, on the last page you will find her receipt.? She was charged for hours of service @ $per hour.? She purchased the $Move Shield Protection.? There was her one time travel fee of $35.00.? Lastly the $charge for the specialty item.? After her pre-paid deposit of $40.00, this left her with a balance of $208.00.? Had she been charged the other leg of the specialty item, she would have had a balance of $after her deposit.Thank You.Tim A [redacted] Move Cheap, LLC

Thank you for filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. This allows us to make the resolution process as transparent as possible for all parties involved. We'd like to begin by stating that Tim *** no longer works for Move Cheap, LLC. He has taken a position with a different company.
Mrs*** has blown the facts of this situation entirely out of proportion, and we feel the need to address that. On the day of her move, she was very kind, but had many occurrences that made her job difficult. For starters, she lost her keys at her old place, and one of our movers had to drive her in their own personal vehicle back to her old place to retrieve them. Additionally, she talked to the movers...a lot. Both have stated that she wouldn't let them do their jobs properly. Now, we do acknowledge that her linoleum flooring in the entrance of her residence was damaged by an appliance our movers moved - even though the feet were missing and that's what ultimately caused the damage, but she did acknowledge this on the insurance form, and we will of course pay for it. The problem is, when Mrs*** sent us the official claim form, she sent it to us blank. Four times! We explained to her that we could not process a claim with a blank form, and then she stopped contacting us. Then in August, nearly months later, she fills out a completed claim form. Except now, she is claiming a significant amount more of damage. At this point she had spoke with Tim ***, who told her that the additional damage that she claimed would not be covered because 1.) It was severely past the day deadline to make a claim as stated on our form that the customer fills out when we first arrive, and 2.) Only items noted before we leave on the damage waiver can be accepted in a claim. The only item Mrs*** acknowledged was damaged was her linoleum flooring. She became livid and threatened Tim *** with complaints and lawsuits and became very very nasty on the phone.Mrs*** has also stated that I (Kristin ***) called the movers and was rushing them to leave to another job, and that is why she didn't have time to properly fill out the waiver form. But again, each mover has acknowledged that when her job was completed, she talked with the movers for several minutes afterwards because she was so satisfied, and did not receive a call from me.We will of course be happy to supply all emails, documents, and testimonies if requested. We have offered Mrs*** $dollars to fix her linoleum flooring as agreed. That's $dollars, minus her $customer deductible as stated in the documents she signed on the day of her move. This was a small tear in her linoleum flooring. Not a rip, not the entire floor destroyed, nor was the flooring real wood. This is a sheet of linoleum that you can purchase at any local home improvement store and have replaced.Thank you!Kristin ***

We'd first like to say that we've always appreciated Mrs*** business.? We've moved her several times and always had a great experience.? Many policies have changed since the last time we moved her, mainly due to regulations from other agencies or from our insurance company.?
The biggest that impacted her move is the specialty item clause.? This was put in place by the insurance company due to the more expensive nature of specialty items like a piano, gun safe, aquarium, or in her case, a pinball machine.? As outlined on her signed Move Shield Limitations and liability form, specialty items require an additional $to load, and $to unload.? This cost is out of our control, and in the event of an accident, would not be covered in an insurance claim if not paid.? Mrs*** was upset about this new charge, and we gave her a $discount to compensate for her dissatisfaction.? As we loaded and unloaded the pinball machine, it normally would have cost her and additional $100.00, but we reduced the charge to $50.00.? She originally told me personally on the phone that she wasn't going to pay, and I told her that was her choice, but I explained that I would have to call the police so that a report could be filed for non payment.? NOBODY ever said anything about anyone being arrested, and that is a complete falsification of the events.? Additionally, our dolly is not a "toy".? They are made of a lighter metal and specialty tires to allow for a lbs compacity load.? After working in the moving industry for years, we take the quality of our tools very seriously.? The phone calls the mover made were to me because he was trying to make her move a smoother one and was asking if there was anything we could do for her.We are apologetic that she was overall dissatisfied with her moving experience, but there will be no refunds as we have already worked with her on the price.Upon request, we will be happy to forward the paperwork she signed agreeing to pay all costs, as well as agreeing to pay for specialty items.Thank you.Tim A***Move Cheap, LLC

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I maintain my position, that the company MoveCheap damaged my goods and home. I also maintain the position that my contract with MoveCheap states that MoveCheap must at a minimum repair the damage to my home. However, I also believe MoveCheap knowingly forced a piece of furniture through an opening that it would not fit through; demonstrating a total disregard for my belongings and in NO way should be covered by any standard business contract.
