Move on demand came recommended by my realtorThings started out ok, [redacted] came to my house gave me an estimateWhen dates were settled [redacted] came out for a final lookOK so farDay of move guys show up hours early and, of course, I am not completely readyWere supposed to fill 1/a truck and a tow behind trailer, no trailerFurniture was packed like a 1,piece puzzle in a piece boxIt fit but not without some bumps and scrapes [redacted] told me they would take plants, moving guys said no-wayDelivery next day was on timepiece was damaged in set upWhen I pointed it out to one of the movers I was quickly to "nope, not us, we didn't do it." One of the other guys took a picture and said he would report itI called [redacted] several times for a status updateAfter the first call he mysteriously stopped taking my callsOverall a bad experience
We Move on Demand absolutely exemplifies everything's that's bad about the moving industryWe used them because they came with a reasonable bid But then we found out they scamto make up the difference We had specific written conditions in the estimate that they refused to honor They took our deposit check and when we asked for it back, they claimed it was to cover other costs Costs that were stipulated to be non-existing by their own estimate! They took us for additional $
They are good at playing the game They know if they steal a little, it will be more cost effective for the customer to just walk away rather that peruse it legally
We're still considering legal optionsLuckily, they did not store our furnitureIt went to a third party storage I could not imagine what would have happened if it was in their position
Move on demand came recommended by my realtor. Things started out ok, [redacted] came to my house gave me an estimate. When dates were settled [redacted] came out for a final look. OK so far. Day of move guys show up 4 hours early and, of course, I am not completely ready. Were supposed to fill 1/2 a truck and a tow behind trailer, no trailer. Furniture was packed like a 1,000 piece puzzle in a 500 piece box. It fit but not without some bumps and scrapes. [redacted] told me they would take plants, moving guys said no-way. Delivery next day was on time. 1 piece was damaged in set up. When I pointed it out to one of the movers I was quickly to "nope, not us, we didn't do it." One of the other guys took a picture and said he would report it. I called [redacted] several times for a status update. After the first call he mysteriously stopped taking my calls. Overall a bad experience
