We were surprised to have a complaint against us be [redacted] since we had agreed to refund her package and had emailed her, in which she responded friendly and satisfied. As we agree with her over all story there are specifics that we know to be...

different. She bought a class package in July for one specific class that she takes at the studio. The class was never canceled during the summer except for the last week of august. The teacher informed us in September that she could not continue teaching that class, we informed students as soon as we could to let them know the change in the schedule. [redacted] informed the teacher that she would like a refund because there wasn't any other class on our schedule that she would take. The teacher told us and we informed that we needed time to think about it since our normal (well posted) policy is "no refund but packages are transferable". The teacher informed [redacted] of this. Within two weeks (I had to talk the owner into why we should give her a refund) we emailed [redacted] of our decision to refund her remaining classes equaling $72.00 (8 classes)and that we would send her check the first week of October. [redacted] responded in a friendly and happy way. We received the complaint information in mid-September. We called [redacted] and asked her to please call us back since we were confused, she never called. Since money had to be spent for process and handling ($40) we took that out of her refund. Below is the copy of this email we sent. We have sent the refund on the first weak of October. This is a situation that seems like did not need to happen. It is a shame. Hello, I asked you to call, which you did not do. I did not read the long email below. 2 weeks is not a long time when it comes to business matters; especially when we are deciding to make an exception with regards to returns. Our policy is no refunds. You have taught us that it is not worth it to make exceptions. You apparently over react to situations and are unhealthy, which is why you are not welcomed in the studio in the future. Your complaint was premature plus the information was not correct. We are sending you as we had already said a refund for the 8 classes - minus process and handling of the Revdex.com complaint. $90.00 original payment of 10 classes you used 2 8 classes left = $72.00 minus $40.00 for processing and handling of Revdex.com complaint. You will receive a refund of $32.00

Review: In July 2014, I purchased a 10-class card package to be used for early morning classes. I specifically was interested in the Saturday morning Pilates class @ 8:30am. Before purchasing the package (with cash), I made sure that the class would be continuing on into the fall. I was told yes. I never would have made the purchase otherwise. The class was only held a couple times in August and cancelled the majority. It has now been removed from the fall schedule. Since I cannot make it to any other early morning class,it appears I have lost $81.00 with no resolution. When I saw this change, I notified both the studio owner and the Pilates teacher via email. I received an email response from the Pilates teacher confirming receipt of my inquiry but with no solution or further follow up.I waited another week and did not receive an email response from the owner. I called both the owner and the Pilates teacher again just to communicate about the issue. Again, no response from either. I also offered a compromise of attending other classes to use my early morning package up. No response. As you can imagine, I'm frustrated by the lack of communication.Desired Settlement: Refund of my package amounting to $81.00 (left) or 8 classes.I paid in cash.
