Questionable contract issuesThis company REQUIRES you to agree to a contract that is not complete...meaning, of course, that any part of the contract not specifically enumerated could be changed after agreeing to it. As a paralegal with some knowledge of contract law, I know this is a questionable and possibly illegal practice. Furthermore, management is argumentative and condescending when queried, only strengthening the suspicion that all is not as it should be.Desired SettlementNone...simply making the public aware of what could be disastrous business policy.Business Response Ms. [redacted] contacted us on 4/20/14 requesting a flat rate estimate for moving services. On 4/21/14 we offered her an over the phone estimate based on the itemized list provided. On 4/22/14 she called in saying that the estimate had blank spots where start and stop was. The representative explained to her that start and stop times did not pertain to her estimate because she was issued a flat rate. Then she advised the rep that she was a paralegal and contracts should not have blank spaces. The rep attempted to explain to Ms. [redacted] that this was not a contract, simply a reflection of her phone estimate based on items she emailed in and did not require her signature. Ms. [redacted] replied, "I am a paralegal, I don't sign anything with blank spaces", "Are you stupid?" The rep replied, "Ms. [redacted] this is not a contract, only an estimate". Ms. [redacted] replied, " Shut up!" "I'm talking!". The rep then explained to Ms. [redacted] that due to her rude behavior and her choice of words that we would like to no longer offer our services. Ms. [redacted] then replied that she would definitely make sure the Revdex.com gave us an F rating since she did not find a rating with Revdex.com. As a company with great reviews, great customer base and high referral rates and no claims with Revdex.com, we have a right to refuse customers with rude behavior. Ms. [redacted] was never provided services nor signed a contract for services. We have only spoken with Ms. [redacted] over the phone respectfully. It's unfortunate that our company and the Revdex.com has to accept complaints from someone who has never been provided a service, and was very disrespectful to our employees.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I don't accept it as there are out and out lies here. First,he got my name wrong, but most importantly, I NEVER told anyone to shut up. NOR did I ever ask him if he was stupid. What I DID say, to my husband, not to the agent, was that I couldn't get a word in edgewise because the agent wouldn't shut up. Every time I attempted to ask a question, he interrupted me, and tried to tell me things that I know for a fact are not legal for them to do. He did indeed EXPECT me to sign a written agreement with blank spaces, and I can provide the written proof of that from an email the company sent me.What the agent considers rude is the fact that I dared to question what is at best a not fully honest business practice. In fact, I have since been in contact with other professionals that have seen this company do this to others.
