I would like to start of by saying please DO NOT use Movers of the Valley for any reason!! I called Movers of the Valley to make an appointment for July 5th at 1:On July 5th at 1:there were no movers and no word from the companySo I decided to call the company to located the whereabouts of the movers, when I was told that the movers were en route and would arrive shortly within the next minutesAfter the minute wait I called the company again with the dispatcher telling me that the previous job went longer than expected and his movers were just finishing that job and would be over within the next hourWell that hour past and I yet again called the company with the dispatcher telling me that his drivers are having trouble with the moving truck and they could make it to my house around 4:Agreeing to wait till 4:the movers again did not show up!! I called the dispatcher yet again with him telling me that fixing the truck is going to take longer than expected and the movers are probably not going to make it out todayThe dispatcher then stated that he could make my move a priority and put my first on the list for tomorrow July 6th and I would recieve a discount for dealing with such an inconvienceThe dispatcher told me that I could pick any time that would work for me, he stated that if I really really needed it done he could get guys to come out at 1:in the morning to move my belonging! After declining the offer to have movers in my home at those types of hour I told him the 6:00am on July 6th would work, deciding to work with the company! But of course on July 6th at 6:00am again NO ONE was at my home but me and my packed items NO MOVERS! I again called the dispatcher with him stating to me that he was on the phone with movers and he was just waiting for a few more guys to come in to work! By 8:there were still no movers at my house! AGAIN I call the dispatcher with him stating to me that the movers are en route and should arrive within the next minutes, same story I heard yesterday! Within minutes the movers did arrive and I must say that the movers were very professional, friendly, and did a great job moving my things! Once everything was moved and placed in the truck it was time for the movers to take my belonging to my new home but of course the movers got lost for about minutes with no call leaving me wondering what happen to my things! Once the movers finally arrive to the new home again they were greatWhen it came time to pay I explain to the drivers that because of the situation on July 5th the dispatcher stated that I could recieve a discount! The movers stated the the discount was for a grand total of $off my total move! I immediately got on the phone with the dispatcher expressing to him my disappointment and also the inconvenience that was caused by this company with him stating that the best he could do was take off percent and with their company percent was such a rare deal! I have to say this was my first time hiring movers and this company was a waste of my TIME AND MONEY!! Please do not use this company it adds a headache that is not needed during a time of moving!!

We booked this company six weeks prior to our move date of May 14th They said they would be at my residence between 8:am and 9:am At 9:am they had not shown up so I called them and they said they would be at my residence by 10:am At 10:am they still haven't shown up so I called again He started making excuses like the truck broke down, one guy didn't show up and so on He said he would have someone at my residence by 2:pm I told him to shove it and I called Allstars Metro Movers at ###-###-#### and spoke with Doug They showed up within minutes and did a fantastic job

I was subject to a horrible and by far, the worst experience by a moving companyI've never had to use a moving company until recentlyThe issues with AZ Affordable Movers continued to worsen as time went on, beginning Saturday at 8:AM until Sunday at 10:AMThis company was a complete nightmareFrom the Dispatcher, [redacted] to the MoversI am 100% comfortable stating that this so called "professional moving company" is a complete failure and disappointment to societyThe treatment I received was traumatic and I truly believe will unfortunately, stay with myself and my children for the rest of our livesWe were to move into our first home the scheduled day of service (March 1st, Saturday at 8:AM), but that wasn't the ends goal courtesy of AZ Affordable MoversTimeline of Events: I received a call from [redacted] , Mesa Dispatcher/AZ Affordable Movers at 8:AM stating that the movers are a little late but should arrive close to 9:AMUnderstandable, due the rainstormAt 9:AM I contacted [redacted] to alert that the movers have not yet arrived, [redacted] expressed that I would receive a discount and that moving crew just left the Phoenix location and should be no more than minutes (again, supposedly due to the rain and a moving crew that did not show up for work)Then, at 10:AM I received a call from [redacted] , Driver/Mover/AZ Affordable Movers expressing he's on his way and should be arrive within the hour (again, blaming the rain)NOW rolls around 11:AM, mind you - my appointment was initially scheduled for 8:AM, [redacted] again calls to state that he had truck issues and is 100% in route and to expect him in minutesBy this time, what else could go wrong or happen next? We're now at 1:PM and STILL NO MOVERS HAVE ARRIVEDI attempt to contact [redacted] , but he's now not answering his cell phoneTherefore, I contact [redacted] and stress that "I'm still waiting for the moving crew" [redacted] , now puts me on hold and never returns to our call, I call her back and again, places me on hold and once more - does not return to our phone conversationI call her back for the third time and at this point I'm concerned and stressed out [redacted] now seems somewhat concerned and attempts to reassure me that these movers are good guys and this is very unlikely that they would not show up [redacted] indicated she will attempt to contact [redacted] and resolve the arrival issueI now clearly explain to [redacted] that I will not pay for service and if movers do show up that they move my family out of the goodness of their heartsI'm clear that I will not pay, [redacted] responds "I understand"Over the next hour and a half, I received no update or status calls from not one person with the moving companyI made calls to [redacted] and/or [redacted] , she and him have stopped answering my callsAt 2:PM I contacted ***/AZ Affordable Movers and explained the days events [redacted] immediately tends to the issue at hand and expressed that one of the movers had a health issue and they rerouted to the hospital [redacted] expressed that he'd find another crew to move me today and we are now priority and at the top of the listAt this point, I feel that maybe now this all be resolvedThat was not the caseI received no return call from [redacted] with any form of update, so I now contact [redacted] again at 4:PM and ask that it seems no one will move us today, therefore to please move us to tomorrow morning, Sunday at 8:AMSo now were scheduled at 8:AM Sunday morning(March 2nd, Sunday at 8:AM)NO MOVERS ARRIVEI receive a call from ***, Driver/Mover/AZ Affordable Movers at 8:AM indicating that he's on his way and should be at my home within an hourAt 9:AM I contact [redacted] and alert her yet again, that the movers have not yet arrived at my home [redacted] stated "call me back in minutes if they haven't shown up and then i'll call them"I ask that she call them now, due them now one and a half hours lateFINALLY - 10:AMThey infamous movers arriveLooking (for lack of a better word" like crack headsPlease excuse my language, but not as I envisioned [redacted] hands me his clip board to sign, and I notice only a $discountNow, I'm livid [redacted] and I both contact [redacted] and she now has amnesia of yesterdays unfortunate eventsShe indicates the best she can is a 10% discountShe also states "I'm being very generous, as the owner wouldn't even do this much of a discount"I walk out to talk with the two movers and explain the situationOne of the movers has a hissy fit and yells "I'm not working for f ing free"At this point, [redacted] has hanged upon me and ***I refuse their service and as them to leave my home

I have been lied to, ignored, and received the WORST service ever and before you should do what you are supposed to do and fix the damages that YOU made I should pay you more money? It will not happen, so I will see you in court! You may have gotten away with this from the countless other people that you have done this to, but not to meThis is far from over [redacted]

These statements that are made by this company are not trueI was the only person there when *** (the driver) and *** (the helper) arrived an hour lateThe next door neighbors arrived and briefly talked to me as the movers were moving my things from the apartment and into the truck, then they went into their homeI never made the movers feel threatened while they moved my things, I just thought my furniture would be better handledOnce the movers loaded the truck and made it to the new location, while I was inside my home, I was told by *** that my "headboard would need some fixing"I did not know what he meant by this and I immediately went out into my garage to look at my headboardI do not like confrontrational indivduals and decided to call the office and speak with the manager or ownerUpon calling the office *** answered and I explained the situation to her, she stated that I would only receive a 10% discount off of my total move, because this is all she could offer, hence, she is not the ownerI then told her that the driver, ***, was disrespecting me because he was upset about me calling the officeShe stated she would "talk" with himMy receipt and contract clearly states that I am to look over all of my things to make sure damage is not done prior to the movers leavingAs soon as my things were delivered into my garage, I paid them, and they immediately left. This didn't allow me enough time to look over my things carefully. It was not until Sunday morning when I had to have two family members come over to move my things into my home that I noticed a lot of damage that was done and I immediately called the office to complainI have spoken with *** multiple times concerning investigating this and was even told that one of their repair men, *** or ***, would be in contact with meEven after speaking with *** on February 9th, I have been calling continuously and speaking to *** who works in the office about my investigation processNo one seems to know what is going on and the owner will not call to resolve this issueThis company seems to be very disorganized and encompassionate regarding peoples' personal property, and ensuring that their customers are happy with using their services

We used them over a year agoGet people great price Used them today (12/15/2014) Showed up 7:(minutes early Reekly of Booze Didn't have any srink wrap as promised When time to tKe apart bed, no tools Asked if I could lend them a Vice Grip O.K When taking apart table needed screwdriver Ask why I didn't have a drill, replied it was in the new location Drove miles to get a bigger screwdriver Done when I Came back Whenleaving to new locastion, needed me to jump start truck after waiting about minutesAt new location when putting table back spent at least hr because screws didn't line up When leaving after charging me $asked for a jump, By this time I was feed up and said noWould never attempt to use them again

Called ahead of time to schedule my move spoke with Tony whom scheduled move for 6/18*** at 1:00pmI did get a follow up call from someone confirming the move and eta of arrival from 1-2pmOn the moving day 6/18*** I get a call at 8:38am from the driver to tell me he was on his wayI explained to him that my move time was scheduled for 1pm not 8am and I was not readyHe said the owner told him he should go now but he would call him1pm comes around the movers don't show upAt 2:07pm I call tony, no answer left him a voicemail2:39pm I call him back again no answerHe finally calls me back at 3:acted like he didn't know who I was or why I was callingHe proceeded to lie and tell me he has been trying to call me but I never picked any of his callsI asked why he didn't call the 2nd phone number on file that he asked for while scheduling my reservationHe couldn't give me an answerTells me he has no movers and it's to hot and no one wants to be movingA courtesy call would have been nice, now I'm all packed and screwedHorrible service, low class business

I apologize for the delayed response but I needed to speak with the crew that completed her move
The crew that was dispatched to conduct Ms*** move was delayed by their previous job, and crew arrived late for her moveShe was advised that this was a possibility since it
would be an afternoon moveUpon arrival, she and her "associates" were not at all happy with the delayed arrivalMy crew began to load her belongings, all the while, Ms*** "associates" were continually taunting the moving crew, with comments ridiculing themMy crew loaded Ms*** belongings into the truck, arrived at the destination location, at which point, one of Ms*** "associates" threated *** with physical bodily harm*** then advised Ms***, that due to the situation, that he and his helper would be unloading all of her belongings and placing them into the garage at which point the move would be completedAll of her belongings were unloaded into the garage and the transaction was concludedThere was no mention on any damages at the timeIt was not until the next day that I received a call stating that her belongings were damaged in the moveI asked that she send us pictures of the damages while I investigated with the crew on my end. I spoke with the crew, *** and ***, and they explained what had occurred during the move, and that no items were damaged when the move was completedThe pictures show the damaged items, placed inside the house. The crew left her items in the garage due to the circumstances*** and *** are one of the best crews, and all of the move review sheets that every customer fills out backs up this claim
Ms*** and her "associates" created a situation in which the moving crew felt threatenedThe crew completed the move by placing her items into the garageNo damages were reportedThe pictures show the damaged items in the house, NOT the garage

Called and spoke to Tim the manager on Sunday, January 3rd, He scheduled me for a man crew and truck for Monday, Jan4th at 3pm Nobody showed up and I finally called to inquire about the status of the crew at 3:45pm Tim said he would look into it and call me back By 4:I hadn't heard from him and called him back He said that they should be on the way and be here within a half hour By 4:I called and Tim said he didn't know where they were and he would be getting another crew to me within an hour I called again at 5pm and asked again when they would arrive and Tim said they should be here within minutes By 5:15pm I called to check once again and Tim said Larry should be on his way, but hadn't heard from him Finally, at 5:40pm Larry called and said they were just stopping at the office to get a truck and would be here shortly Around 6pm Larry called again and said the truck had problems and they would have to go back to the office and get another truck Then finally at approx6:15pm Larry called and said that they wouldn't be able to make it He mumbled a bunch of excuses We finally just hung up on them They wasted our entire afternoon, failed to show up, and made excuse after excuse as to why they were late and then finally couldn't make it DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID by calling these jokers

I apologize for the delay but I had to investigate this complaintAfter speaking with the crews that were dispatched to the job and then to ***Our response is thus, before we acknowledge any damages the terms of the contract must be fulfilledThe customer's job time was hours of work plus the
service fee, customer only paid for hoursThe invoice contract is for hours of work, plus the standard one hour equivalent service feeThe customer has a delinquent outstanding balance with our company, until this is resolved, we are unable to go forward

By this time, what else could go wrong or happen next? We're now at 1:12 PM and STILL NO MOVERS HAVE ARRIVED. I attempt to contact [redacted], but he's now not answering his cell phone. Therefore, I contact [redacted] and stress that "I'm still waiting for the moving crew". [redacted], now puts me on hold and never returns to our call, I call her back and again, places me on hold and once more - does not return to our phone conversation. I call her back for the third time and at this point I'm concerned and stressed out. If you're planning to move in Arizona, avoid this company: [redacted] We set up a move with them for 8 a.m. Sunday, June 29 and they NO SHOWED. Who does that?! After three hours of waiting, I was able to book another company however our 8 a.m. move was pushed back to 1 p.m. thanks to these [redacted]. I called them at 8:30 a.m. and [redacted], the lady who answered, said the movers were running about 30-40 mins late and I would be getting a call soon. I called them again at 9:15 a.m. after still not hearing anything and [redacted] said the movers would be calling me ASAP. They never reached out and I tried the number again at 10 a.m. and [redacted] conveniently stopped answering my calls. I tried about 4-5 more times and not once did she pick up the phone. It kept going to voicemail. Once it hit 11 a.m., I booked another moving company and my 8 a.m. move turned into a 1 p.m. move.
I still get worked up thinking about it. As if moving in Arizona in the summer isn't hard enough! Please spread the word about this company. They are SUPER SHADY and should be put out of business. No one should be treated the way I was.
