product was registered. The scooter can not be re-inventoried or soldas a new product.  I am not aware of any retail establishment that has a policyto allow return of sold products this old. Even if the product was not physically used..andI have no way to verify that, the scooter is  used merchandise  at this point and may have issues when used or from non use(batteries can go bad in a short period of time if notkept charged).I am sorry for the circumstances that caused the scooter to no longer be needed.I am also disappointed the complainer conceived my behavior as unprofessional. I amsure I did nothing dishonest or unethical and those words are very insulting.  Maybe the complainer should review the return policies  at other retail businesses such as [redacted] or any retail store. I had made an offer with another family member to repurchase the scooterfor $700.00 prior to yesterday. However, because of the complainer's threatening, demanding, and insulting remarks, I have no desire to be involved with any transaction withher in the future.Sincerely,[redacted]

he vehicle listed in this complaint is a 2005 [redacted] with the [redacted] wheelchair accessible lowered floor, in floor ramp van. The van was brought to us for service in late November 2015 with the ramp not functioning. The problem was diagnosed...

with the need to replace the Screw Drive Assembly that drives the ramp on the trolley out and in. The parts must come from VMI and the total price to [redacted] was $480.00 for over 4 hr. labor and the parts. At the completion of the ramp repair, the van was having an issue that required the control button to be pushed a second time to get the ramp to function. He was advised at that time that there was still some issue causing that. Tech support at VMI with tests  run by our techs suggested the control board/computer that operates the VMI conversion operations was starting to go bad. [redacted] was O K with the way the van was operating at that time and was asked to come back some time in mid January to check the van. January 27 the van was brought to us with the ramp not functioning. When the floor cover was taken up to examine the ramp(a tedious process with the power transfer seat needing to be moved) we found water in pools on the sub floor. The water was removed and connections were cleaned. The driver of the van to us indicated the dash lights would sometimes start flashing. With support from the VMI tech team, it was suggested to [redacted] that there was in all likelihood a ground wiring problem and possible module and or schlepp/door power cable issue.  Three hrs of labor but a charge of only $70.00. On 2-08-16 the van was in the shop to try to find and repair any ground wiring issues. A faulty ground with rust/corrosion was  found and repaired. This was apparently the reason the flashing lights were coming on the dash. The power transfer seat had some motion or play. This is caused by warn bushings that need to be replaced. Mr. [redacted] was called and was told that the conversion functions were working again, however with continuous touch instead of one touch to operate the ramp. He was given options to get the vanconversion operations back to normal, the door schlepp needed replacement, Prices were given and the service sheet has the recommended repairs and cost estimate. The price of the repair was $280.00 which was for 4 hrs of labor. The van apparently had issues immediately when the van was delivered back to [redacted]. We picked up the van on 2-09-16 and brought it in again. The tech tried to make repairs working over 3 hrs on it but apparently the schlepp is to the point, it is no longer functioning as it should. Our tech tried to convey that we could not make repairs without replacing the parts needed(schlepp for sure). It is also possible that the computer board/module is going bad. It is unfortunate that there has been the issues to occur on this vehicle at this time, however this is not unusual on a conversion van like this that is over 10 years old and the functions have beenthru thousands of cycles. The winter weather with snow sliding in under and on top of the ramp causes problems with water on the electrical connections.  Looking back on the history of this vehicle, for the type of vehicle and all the functions it has, it has been below average for need of repairs or replacement of parts. Our pricing for parts and labor is below the average for the parts and services we render. Our techs have over thirty years of experience working on these products. VMI tech support is fully utilized. None of the problems were caused by what work we completed The ramp was repaired with the replacement of the ramp screw drive. The ground wire issue was found(just forward of the passenger side B post) and fixed. The issues that remain can be fixed with the replacement of the schlepp. It is also a good possibility that the computer board/module will needto be replaced soon. We will continue to assist with any requests for repair on this vehicle. We cannot pay for parts that are necessary for the repairs and must charge a fair labor rate. Mr. [redacted] should compare pricing at other dealers to make sure we are being fair. We have many customers with need of special mobility vehicles and [redacted]. We go out of our way to assist knowing the importance of their equipment.  These products get a lot of wear and tear and only have so much time. It is our goal to keep the products functioning as long as possible at the least amount of cost to the customer. We will do the repairs needed for the van at cost for the parts and only $40.00 an hr labor rate.[redacted]tLLC PartnerMovin On Mobility
