I would never ever use or recommend this company to anyoneMoving can be such a stressful situation by itself and add an overly aggressive, uninformative, lackluster moving company; something stressful becomes a whole other nightmareI was in a crunch and contacted MOVING BROKERS OF AMERICA to move me from Georgia to New JerseyI was quoted one price (1495$) and then realized I had more items then I intially informed the companyMy contact at MOVING BROKERS OF AMERICA informed me not to worry that I was locked in at the price quotedThe moving company ABF from Georgia came to my home and accessed my belongings at 500$ more than my original quoteIn addition, they informed me that the quote was an estimateI understood but did not think that I would need an additional 500$I felt as though I could have reserved a truck from uhaul or penske and came out a whole lot cheaper Plus, I would have had a whole truck instead of a quarter of an wheeler and only my belongings would have been on the uhaulI was not aware that I was basically paying BROKERS OF AMERICA almost 500$ of the 2000$ bill eitherAdditionally, I had to ultimately rent a passenger van and stuff my car to get all of my belongings to NJThis was my first and last time trusting my belongings with a moving company as such a nasty taste has been left behind BROKERS OF AMERICA and ABF moving companyPlus, I urge anyone planning to move to do yourself a favor and do it yourself

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will only return a call if it involves getting more money out of youNot only will the cost continue to increase at pick up & at delivery (extortion??) but your belongings will be damaged and missing, with no assistance at all on their endIt will take 3-weeks to receive your items although a delivery date will be listed on the contractThey will state they have this window to deliverAnother example, a very important office box of mine was lost, and I received someone else's freightThey made no attempt to locate my missing item, and immediately told me to file a claim and throw the incorrect freight in the dumpsterThey are rude, unprofessional, and simply do not care about their customers

I would never ever use or recommend this company to anyone. Moving can be such a stressful situation by itself and add an overly aggressive, uninformative, lackluster moving company; something stressful becomes a whole other nightmare. I was in a crunch and contacted MOVING BROKERS OF AMERICA to move me from Georgia to New Jersey. I was quoted one price (1495$) and then realized I had more items then I intially informed the company. My contact at MOVING BROKERS OF AMERICA informed me not to worry that I was locked in at the price quoted. The moving company ABF from Georgia came to my home and accessed my belongings at 500$ more than my original quote. In addition, they informed me that the quote was an estimate. I understood but did not think that I would need an additional 500$. I felt as though I could have reserved a truck from uhaul or penske and came out a whole lot cheaper. Plus, I would have had a whole truck instead of a quarter of an 18 wheeler and only my belongings would have been on the uhaul. I was not aware that I was basically paying BROKERS OF AMERICA almost 500$ of the 2000$ bill either. Additionally, I had to ultimately rent a 15 passenger van and stuff my car to get all of my belongings to NJ. This was my first and last time trusting my belongings with a moving company as such a nasty taste has been left behind BROKERS OF AMERICA and ABF moving company. Plus, I urge anyone planning to move to do yourself a favor and do it yourself.

Consumers beware. Please think twice before signing with this company. You would be better off finding an actual moving company and not a broker. This company gave me what is called a low-ball moving estimate to get me to give them a $540. deposit and sign a contract with them. From that point on my experience with them was horrific. The original price quoted to move some items from Texas to Oregon was $1520. but that soon escalated to $3740. The brokerage company said that I had to supply an accurate list of the items they were to pick up from a small storage unit, but I did not have any idea of what was in there and although I kept telling them that, they kept insisting that I fill out new inventory forms anyway. They harrassed me so much that I became physically ill. Then without my knowledge they sent a moving company to pick-up my items and I was told by the actual mover that I owed him more than $2700 when the items were delivered. I refused to allow him to pickup anything, but Moving Brokers of America refused to return my deposit because I did not allow the moving company to pick up my items even though the amount asked for was more than $1,200 higher than the initial agreed upon amount. I am a disabled senior and I believe that I had been taken advantage of by this company. The deposit I gave them is a lot of money to me. They voided the original contract by not providing the service they agreed to for the amount agreed upon.

I am posting this review for two reasons. The first one is that I want my deposit back, and the second is that I would like to save other people from experiencing the same trauma I did. It is very sad that this company is allowed to be so dishonest and yet continue to stay in business. Also, I would like other people to understand that a "binding estimate" is not the same as a final bill. When signing a contract with any moving company have them state that the amount is a final bill and that it is exactly what you will have to pay and not a penny more. I had to learn this lesson the hard way. and it cost me $540.00.

I was nervous when selecting this company because of all of the random websites with reviews both good and bad. It seems there was more bad than good. All of the companies I looked at sort of looked the same, so it was hard to pick. I felt like I was rolling the dice on this one, but it panned out. figured I'd share

My stuff was picked up early in the morning, which I was glad about so I could get on the road myself. I've been pretty excited to come to Florida, so I reserved this last minute and couldn't wait to start heading down. For putting this all together last minute, I'm surprised how well things went and how quick they got here.
