ONE OF THE MOVERS ASKED MY NEIGHBOR FOR DRUGS
If the severe mishandling of my items wasn't enough one of the movers literally asked my new neighbor for drugs. They broke so many of my things it's like they were trying to break stuff. On top of that as you can see from all these other reviews they make their claims process absolutely impossible to get any reimbursement. I hope this company goes out of business they have no right to be interacting with customers. I wish I could write a long detailed review about every single thing they did wrong but for the sake of my mental wellbeing I'll leave it at what I've already said. Protect yourself and never use this moving company even if you're a military spouse trying to survive their husbands deployment like myself and desperately need the help of a moving company to be closer to your support network. They will screw you over and all but laugh in your face about it.

THE WORSE EVER - HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THEM SINCE JULY 22 AND IT IS AUG 26
The worst experience I have ever experienced with any company in my life... STAY AWAY FROM EAGLE MOVING GROUP INC & MOVING DEPOT (they work together).

1. Was told delivery would be 7-10 days. My stuff was pick up on June 19 and after 10 days, I called to find out the delivery and was told that my stuff was still in Chicago and did not have an ETA. I called weekly through mid July and was told the same information. I had travel plans on July 21 so I was getting concerned and mentioned this. They did not care and said if I wasn't home, I would be charged a redelivery fee. I contacted Matt who helped me with setting up the move and he said he would get back to me, but never did. NOTE - THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO NOTIFY YOU 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE PRIOR TO DELIVERING YOUR STUFF.
2. July 20 and still no message, text, email about my stuff, so I leave for my trip on July 21. Well the movers showed up with the delivery to my house at 9:30p (my parents were home). I got on the phone with the delivery driver, who said that he tried to reach me, but never left me a message! He told me that I should have answered my phone. I told him that he should have text and left a message, especially since his team knew that I was traveling. All he said was sorry and that I needed to accept the delivery or I would be charged a delivery fee.
3. The driver argued with me a lot even though it was his mistake about not leaving me a message. I gave into it b/c I didn't have a choice.
4. Driver asked if my parents could sign for my stuff and I told him no, b/c I wasn't there to verify any damages or missing items. Well, he went ahead and had my parents sign (it was late for them already and they ended up leaving at 11p, so I never told them not to sign b/c I assumed he would not ask them to).
5. I find out the next day from my mom about a plastic container with items in it, so I ask her to send me a photo. Well, the items in the container are not mine! I texted the driver, who told me to send him a picture of the container (there was also a step stool that is not mine) and someone would pick it up in a few days (this was on July 22).
6. I return from my trip on Aug 6 and the other person's items are still here. Also, I find that the bed wasn't set up correctly (didn't setup all the legs), damages to some of the furniture, shelves for the bookshelf could be installed b/c they lost the pegs, and I was missing stuff (I am sure that they got other persons things swapped with mine).
7. I call them on Aug. 9 and was told to email another email or call another number. Since I was busy still unpacking, I emailed them some of the details of items I was missing and mentioned the other person's item still here. I had to follow up with them again on Aug. 12 b/c no one reached out to me.
8. The customer service rep argued with me stating that it was also my fault that the delivery people showed up unannounced b/c I should have answered my phone. I explained that I receive a lot of spam calls and do not answer (like most of us do nowadays and reiterated that VM was left. She then argued that she sent an email to me on July 18 stating my stuff was on the way. I asked her to forward me the email b/c I never received it (I looked everywhere in my email) but stated that it would not have the original email sent, so I know it was a lie, an email was never sent. I looked at the email she supposedly sent and it stated my stuff would arrive 1-10 days from then, so still no communication that my stuff was going to be deliver on July 21!
9. So I emailed the customer rep all the details/pictures on the items damaged, what I was missing and the other person's belongings. She said she would set up a pick up in a few days. Well it is now Aug 26 (I spoke to them on Aug 12), and I still have this person's belongings and no update as to where is my stuff are. I also emailed the customer service rep on Aug. 18 asking what is happening and have not heard back.

Still Unresolved Since August 2020!
Worst moving experience ever! I've moved cross country before, but this was simply awful. They arrived late (I didn't even hire them - I thought I was contracting with Trinity Relocation Service out of Florida). Several items were missing, boxes were severely damaged, bed posts were broken and several items were just missing/ They scratched the hardwood floors that had just recently been finished when moving an armoire - just dragged it across the floor. On top of everything, Trinity said they were not responsible for anything and they are who I contracted with! When I sent photos of the scratched floor, Moving Depot actually asked me to furnish photos of the hardwood floor BEFORE they damaged them. Such an unreasonable request! Such crooked, dishonest companies. Please beware -- read the fine print and don't let them talk you into not getting the full insurance! Better yet, just don't fool with them.

Crooked Clowns!
Storage locker move Illinois to Nevada, 11 days after pick up called for update of arrival, all they wanted to tell me laws of DOT ,and it's on the way and should arrive soon, 4 days later voice mail saying delivery tomorrow or it goes back to Illinois, in the dark 6pm..arrival at storage locker that closes at 7pm, and wanted more money because the number of feet truck to locker, different truck and movers.every cardboard box was damaged and 7+ glass picture frames shattered and brand new tool box stolen all of noticed days and weeks later going thru locker...avoid these Bozos at all costs!

My Name is Brandi, I re-located from Wisconsin, to Tennessee. The company was on time, very courteous, efficient, and careful with walls and items. All questions were answered and explained carefully, and Precisely! I will use and recommend this company to Everyone in the future!

Dealing with The Moving Depot has been the most dihonest and unprofessional moving experience I have ever encountered. The Moving Depot is a third party moving company who was hired without my knowledge by *** Moving & Storage (the moving company with whom I signed a contract in November, 2019 to perform my move).

1) The Foreman at the pick up was rude and threatening about signing their contract and payment. They were careless while handling my belongings (I witnessed them drop and throw my items onto the truck), left my condo a mess and damaged my walls, and charged me $1300 extra (he transferred my belongings into his own boxes charging me for materials and extra cubic feet on the truck).

2) The delivery was scheduled (by ***) for March 30th and they didn't arrive until April 7th. It was only then that I learned my belongings were being unloaded at a warehouse and then reloaded on another truck at a later date. Many of my boxes were mishandled and loaded haphazardly; thus, many things arrived broken and demolished and many boxes were missing. One piece of my luggage was soaked inside and smelled of urine. They lost all of the hardware for the items they disassembled. AND, THEY INSISTED ON BEING PAID IN CASH BEFORE THEY WOULD UNLOAD MY ITEMS. The delivery man was in a hurry and did not take caution while unloading my items. They scratched my newly painted walls in my new home. When he "reassembled" my bed and I went to move it, it fell apart because he didn't inform me that he had no hardware to put it back together. He literally hid his trash (wads of tape, boxes, and torn blankets) behind items in my garage and throwing it into my bushes.

3) The customer service rep, Kay, Is rude and unapologetic. She never followed up with finding my missing boxes. The "handyman" sent to my house did not use the proper hardware and did not finish the job. He even admitted they don't have time to worry about boxes marked "Fragile".

THIS IS NOT A QUALIFIED, PROFESSIONAL COMPANY!

Customer Response • May 05, 2020

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: Not that I expect you to have the integrity or professionalism to admit any wrongdoing or take any accountability for a job gone bad - that would require you to actually have to look at your moving practices and train your employees to avoid this from happening in the future. There is a reason why the message boards gave you deplorable reviews - over a dozen customers made complaints about the same terrible, nightmare experience they had with The Moving Depot. Many said if there had been an option to rate with zero stars, they would have done that versus giving you 1 star.

You are anything but sorry. Your staff, Kay specifically, was smug, cold, and rude. To this day she has never called me to follow up with any news or any resolution to all the problems.

I was told to send in pictures but that I could ONLY SUBMIT IT ONCE (AND I WAS TOLD TO WAIT UNTIL I HAD IT ALTOGETHER). It took me time to go through all my items, unpack all my boxes, photograph (and videotape) all the damaged furniture, make lists of all my missing items and boxes, etc. so that is why it didn't happen "right away". You response is so contradictory to what I was instructed to do and how to do it. And, you weren't "reminding" me to do it when I called you . . . that was Kay's way of not addressing the issues and simply saying to file a claim. That was her response to every problem and every issue - don't apologize, don't take accountability, just brush me off and get me off the phone.

You NEVER MADE THE OFFER TO GET A HANDYMAN FROM THE GET GO !! OMG - you are either a liar or on drugs !! I called and told Kay that the delivery guy assembled my bed without telling me the parts were missing and she could have cared less. Then I found other pieces of furniture with missing hardware. It was only when I reached Nicole that she first suggested that I file a claim but then I stated that I could not wait 60-90 days to get a response AND THAT IT WAS IN MY CONTRACT THAT ANY FURNITURE DISASSEMBLED WAS TO BE REASSEMBLED. That is when she said she would look into the problem and call me back. She is the only one who followed up and called me back the next day and said she was going to try to get a handyman to come to my house but couldn't make any promises. A week later, someone finally showed up AND HE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE NECESSARY HARDWARE. Let me repeat - the leg of my bed (that your Foreman lost) is still missing, the hardware to support the shelves in my credenza (that your Foreman lost) was not replaced; the hardware for my patio table is the wrong color and was not secured using nuts on the back of the screws to hold it in place !! It's amazing how you avoid the facts and lie about your version of this.

There was no communication (except with Nicole) - there was me calling and crying hysterically and Kay being smug and rude - "file a claim" - and then hanging up. To this day I've had NO FOLLOW UP AS TO MY MISSING BOXES AND IT'S BEEN A MONTH. Kay never even called to say what she was doing to try to find the boxes . . . because YOU NEVER TRIED TO FIND MY MISSING THINGS.

If that Foreman is your best, then no wonder why you got the reviews I read - my friend was present the whole time and will attest to how threatening he was. 3 times he yelled at me "I don't have to do this move". I was in tears and he yelled at me "I'm not going to have you speak to me that way and I can leave here right now". He was a JERK. Your movers showed up in an Enterprise Leasing Truck, not wearing uniforms, AND DIDN'T TAKE ANY PRECAUTIONS PER CDC FOR COVID-19 !! And still, you haven't bothered addressing the damage they did to my condo. My real estate agent can send you a bill for the damage she had to have repaired due to your movers not to mention them leaving my kitchen and MY BATHROOM a mess.

My friend and I witnessed your movers dropping my items and throwing things on the truck. I WATCHED YOUR FOREMAN DROP MY TV AND HE DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR IT and now it's shattered.

IT'S AMAZING HOW YOU IGNORED ISSUES (the clothing in my suitcase being wet and smelling of urine and your delivery man throwing the trash into my bushes and hiding it behind my personal items in the garage), AND HOW YOU'VE BACK PEDDLED AND MADE IT SOUND LIKE YOU WERE THE EPITOME OF CARE AND PROFESSIONALISM (your handyman even admitted that they don't have the time to worry about whether boxes are marked "Fragile") and IT'S NOT 1 OR 2 DAMAGED ITEMS - my desk was demolished, my tv shattered, my jewelry armoire with a broken base, my dresser with a broken leg, my kitchen table scratched and dented, the kitchen chair with a broken leg, scratches all over other tables, file cabinets cracked and broken, items shattered and demolished, the leg broken off the BBQ grill and the electric cord missing, the electric cord pulled out of my vacuum cleaner and gone . . . a list comprising of over 50 items either damaged or missing !! THAT'S NOT A PROFESSIONAL MOVE - THAT'S A TRAINWRECK. I have used PODS moving containers on 2 occasions and not one item was broken, scratched, dented, or chipped. The items were packed professionally with care and caution. Your movers put fragile items on the bottom, turned furniture upside down and loaded things on top of the weakest side.

YOU AND YOUR MOVERS MESSED UP ! YOU NEED TO JUST OWN IT, LOOK AT THE PROBLEMS, APOLOGIZE, AND CONSIDER HOW YOU CAN DO BETTER IN THE FUTURE SO OTHER CUSTOMERS AREN'T PUT THROUGH THIS NIGHTMARE. HAVE SOME ETHICS AND INTEGRITY FOR GOODNESS SAKE AND QUIT TRYING TO EXPLAIN IT AWAY AND BLAME IT ON ME. I have better things to do with my time then have to take care of this so I would not put myself through this if it weren't for the fact that you destroyed so many precious, priceless, family items of mine. If you were such a good company, the message boards wouldn't have so many terrible reviews about your company. And, if you were really professional you would have found my luggage (given you've had a month to track it down) and explained to me why my clothes were wet and smelly and mildewy in my luggage and you would have apologized for throwing your trash in my yard and hiding it behind my things - THAT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL.

Sincerely,

Amy

Moving Depot USA Response • May 14, 2020

Dear Amy,

Please refer to the earlier reply, we have address each concern.

Please feel free to reach out to us at . We are here to help.

I hired Moving Depot to move me from Chicago IL to Phoenix AZ. My contract states that once a delivery date is provided my items will be delivered within 16 days (based upon distance) but could take up to 21 days. We are at 26 days, I do not have my items, or a date window for delivery or even a confirmation that my items have even left Chicago.

Employees are working, phones are answered but I can not get anyone to give me any answers. They will only tell me,"I have to call dispatch and call you back" then they hang up on me and I never hear back.

Additionally, actual move cost was nearly twice the quote amount, but only 75 percent of items (if that) were taken. Movers falsely represented services and supplies by aggressively and abrasively rushing through paperwork and explanations.

3 months of free storage was offered as incentive and then not honored.

Moving Depot USA Response • Apr 14, 2020

Good Afternoon Ms.,

Based on your delivery window yes we were off from the 21 business days , we did let you know due to the virus we were going to be off by a few days which end up being 5 business days. As far as the storage it was not written in your contract for the free 3 months, if it had been written we would have honored it. We did remain in communication with you about the delays via email and over the phone. What we are prepared to offer you is 30 dollars for each business day that we were late which comes out to $150.00.

We are here to answer any questions you may have please fell free to give us a call at

Kindly,

Kay

This moving company packed our items and delivered them. We contracted through *** Movers and they subcontracted this company to come and pack and ship and deliver. We had some broken items, all of our hanging clothes were thrown in a box not hung up and other household items were packed on top of them. We had a rug ripped, a broken handle on a yard blower, a broken bowl.
I cannot get any help with claims. I filed with Moving Claims and they tell me a claim has never been submitted.
