Unannounced/unscheduled visit in the pouring down rain 7/17/2018- Moxie inside treatment killed one of our pets, hours after inside treatment on of our pets died 2/21/2018- Moxie truck was outside my house in the pouring down rain, I told the tech to not treat and that I did not schedule this visit, he treated anyway and tried to collect money for full inside and outside treatment, even though I told him we were leaving for the evening and could not treat treat the inside or truly do a complete job because of the rainI told the tech I was not paying for this unscheduled visit and at that it wasn't a complete I contacted Moxie and canceled my service but they still wanted full payment for half the job and a job done in the rain which wouldn't yield any resultSince then Moxie has been calling my wife and myself endlessly to try and collect for a full treatmentMoxie is no longer welcome on my property, they are focused on billing for visits rather than doing good work when t

If you want to deal with a company who will raise your rates on you IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR CONTRACT and then try to blame it on a system error...then sign right up They've done this to us TWICE now and I was stupid enough to give them another chance
Since they violated the terms of our contract by raising our rates without notice, I've asked for our contract to be terminated, with no penalty fee
Moxie told me this was not possible I spoke to multiple people today, but the final person was Jessica I'm so sick and tired of dealing with this company
I don't even want to give them one star
Billing nightmares and they claim they'll credit your accountbut unless you call them constantlyyou'll never see that credit The first time it took them months to see the credit
By violating the terms of my contract, they said they made things "right" by crediting my next treatment with $and refunding me the overcharge I know I'll never see the credit and refunding me was necessary because they charged me MORE than my contract stated
I just want out of my agreement and I've wasted so many hours on this already
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ...unless you enjoy being taken advantage of...their customers do not matter to them

I told the salesman no because my daughter had cancer and I dont want chemicals on my propertyHe later came back and told my husband I said yes and he needed to sign for the treatmentI called the manager and explained this and he said it was too late my husband already signed and we have to pay for the whole yearI told him I dont want the services (ever) and he said we still have to payI feel that I have been robbed and now I have chemicals on my property that I do not approve ofThat is fraud when you tell someone that it was approved by other party or at least I feel that wayHe said he was sending it to collectionsThats just wrong but im not paying for something because they lied to my husband.They didnt put anything on receipt except amount

Service itself is good, but don't expect any customer service I was satisfied with the actual service, but when I moved, I needed about a month suspension in service until our new home was finished with construction When I called to suspend service I was told they didn't have a way of suspending service, but that they would cancel my upcoming appointments one by one until I was in the new house What wasn't disclosed to me at that time is that I would still have to pay for those canceled services, and months later I received a nice bill for roughly $ Worth noting that during this time those canceled services kept getting rescheduled, and I had to repeatedly call back in to let them know that I was no longer at that location When I reached out to question the $260, I was told that I was responsible for those charges and that there was nothing I could do I asked if I could just cancel my entire service with them, and was told there would be a $cancellation fee Also worth noting that it would have been nice if all of these options would have been disclosed to me at the start, and I could have made a more informed decision to just pay the $and walk away, versus now being down $for absolutely nothing I kept giving them a try to retain me as a customer in my new house, but they wouldn't budge on any of this Quite frankly I was stunned by their lack of customer service, so I just paid the $to be done with them (knowing that I was going to at least be out another $while I finish up our new construction) Huge disappointment There are a ton of great pest control companies out there I thought this may be one, but after this experience, I know they are not I would highly warn anyone against using Moxie Pest Control, it may seem good now, but you will end up paying for it at some point

I called Moxie Pest Control yesterday to cancel my service, not because I was dissatisfied, but because I simply do not have the same insect problems in winterMy hope was to continue service again in the summer (which in TX is half the year) but that will no longer be my plan The door-to-door salesman in June misled me to believe I was not under any sort of obligatory contract, and I even read the small paragraph on the form with him before signing He said that at the end of the summer people could opt out but that most residents tend to continue service because the products work I agree, the technicians that have treated my exterior and yard are expert, knowledgeable and respectful of my wishes to avoid direct contact with my vegetable garden They are excellent, professional service people What is NOT excellent is the conversation with the manager who returned my call today to inform me that I owed money to get out of an annual contract I clearly did not sign up for What is on the paperwork she sent me is not what I signed I feel I have been deceived and if they want to keep repeat business they absolutely have to do better There was no contract! I would recommend them to my neighbors, but in the age of social media and reviews, Moxie Pest Control does not seem to be concerned with a bad reputation It is a bad business model to have your salespeople lie to customers when your product actually works So sad! They choose to opt out of decades of summer service to get quick money at the expense of bad reviews? That is not forward thinking when ants are guaranteed to show up every dang summer Instead of giving your salespeople bonuses for tricking more customers, put that money towards better brand recognition tactics
