Here's a rant about my recent experience at Moxie Salon About weeks ago I decided to change my hair colorI wanted a grey ombré (1st picture below) so I compiled some inspirational photos on Pinterest I decided to go to Moxie because years ago I'd had my Lavender hair done here by Jessica and really loved the results So, I made my appointment Monday (11/28/2016) showed up for my consultationI met my stylist and we talked about what I wantedI showed him my inspiration photos and it seemed like we were on the same pageI left feeling super excited and ready for my new hair! I arrive Wednesday (11/30/2016) afternoon for my appointment and we begin the process He starts by sectioning my hair and foils are laid and we wait for it to cook for awhile before I'm moved under a heaterAfter that, we move towards the sink to wash and tone Then, we move to his chair and he blow drys my hairAt this point I'm noticing still a lot of my natural color and not much "grey"But I remained positive because I know that when the hair is wet it tends to look a bit darker By this time my hair is dry and I barely see any of the grey ombré I wantedAfter my hair is dry he says to me that it seems to be taking on a green hue - I'm scared at this point But he calls for his assistant to mix some more color and this time he brushes in the colorHe says to me he is adding blue which will EVENTUALLY fade to a grey/silver (2nd photo) I say "okay" because while we were getting to know each other, I asked him how long he's been with the company and and he tells me that he's the owner of the salonSo, I trusted him because he been in the hair industry for many years After brushing in the blue, we wait a bit for it to processHis assistant checks the color and decides it time to wash She brings me back to his chair and he cuts my hair - which he did a really good jobAnyway he finishes cutting and dries my hair At this point I literally wanna run out of the salon because it looks so far off from what I asked for, but I'm too nice?? He hands me the mirror to take a final lookHe asks me if I like it and I say "yes" (You're probably wondering why I said yes if I really hated itWell, first I was intimated, he OWNS the damn salon and I was trying to be nice ??) Anyway, I pay then leave Thursday 12/01/ I'm really upset about the results of my hairI paid $+ $tip for what looks like a blue/green peek-a-booI did not want thatSo I grew some [redacted] and called, I knew I wanted to avoid the awkward situation of going back to that stylist so I called their St.Paul location I talked to the receptionist and explained the situation and asked for it to be fixedShe tells me that she'll talk to him and see where we go from there Two days after my 1st call to Moxie (St.Paul) and I haven't received a call-back or anythingSo I call againSeemed like they were really busy because I was put on a 20min hold but sure enough I got throughI explained yet a second time about my experience and asked to see a new stylist ASAP, because I refuse to let him touch my hair again I show up Monday (12/05/2016) night to speak with a stylist for yet another consultation and told her what I went throughI also show her pictures of what I wanted and we set the appointment Wednesday 12/07/ I show up for my appointment and we get right to itIt mixes the lightener and lays foil upon foil At this point I'm super excited because I think I'm finally getting the hair I wantedShe finishes the foils and we wait for what seemed like 30minsThis time there was not heater She takes me to the sink and washes and tones times She tells me that my hair didn't lift enough so it'll have to be a "dark grey" Fine, I can live with that She takes me to her chair and dries my hairI notice that it looks a lot better than what I had before so I'm feeling super excited to see the full results She hands me the mirror and it seems to have taken on this "dark grey" she mentioned earlierSo we finish and I leave gratuityAlthough it wasn't her fault I appreciate her for fixing it Anyway, I get to my car- in natural lighting my hair looks as if I did nothing to it (3rd photo) Once again I am disappointed?? Basically I don't understand whyWhy take on this color project if you can't deliver? Why would you let me walk out with blue hair when I asked for grey? Why waste my time the 2nd round when there wasn't enough time for my hair to lift? Why waste my time and my money?? WHYYY?? ?????? I am angry and frustrated and can't believe this cost me $ Please don't go here, it's overrated and pricey

Here's a rant about my recent experience at Moxie Salon
About weeks ago I decided to change my hair colorI wanted a grey ombré
(1st picture below) so I compiled some inspirational photos on Pinterest
I decided to go to Moxie because years ago I'd had my Lavender hair done here by Jessica and really loved the results
So, I made my appointment Monday (11/28/2016) showed up for my consultationI met my stylist and we talked about what I wantedI showed him my inspiration photos and it seemed like we were on the same pageI left feeling super excited and ready for my new hair!
I arrive Wednesday (11/30/2016) afternoon for my appointment and we begin the process
He starts by sectioning my hair and foils are laid and we wait for it to cook for awhile before I'm moved under a heaterAfter that, we move towards the sink to wash and tone
Then, we move to his chair and he blow drys my hairAt this point I'm noticing still a lot of my natural color and not much "grey"But I remained positive because I know that when the hair is wet it tends to look a bit darker
By this time my hair is dry and I barely see any of the grey ombré I wantedAfter my hair is dry he says to me that it seems to be taking on a green hue - I'm scared at this point
But he calls for his assistant to mix some more color and this time he brushes in the colorHe says to me he is adding blue which will EVENTUALLY fade to a grey/silver (2nd photo)
I say "okay" because while we were getting to know each other, I asked him how long he's been with the company and and he tells me that he's the owner of the salonSo, I trusted him because he been in the hair industry for many years
After brushing in the blue, we wait a bit for it to processHis assistant checks the color and decides it time to wash
She brings me back to his chair and he cuts my hair - which he did a really good jobAnyway he finishes cutting and dries my hair
At this point I literally wanna run out of the salon because it looks so far off from what I asked for, but I'm too nice??
He hands me the mirror to take a final lookHe asks me if I like it and I say "yes"
(You're probably wondering why I said yes if I really hated itWell, first I was intimated, he OWNS the damn salon and I was trying to be nice ??)
Anyway, I pay then leave

I'm really upset about the results of my hairI paid $+ $tip for what looks like a blue/green peek-a-booI did not want thatSo I grew some *** and called, I knew I wanted to avoid the awkward situation of going back to that stylist so I called their St.Paul location
I talked to the receptionist and explained the situation and asked for it to be fixedShe tells me that she'll talk to him and
see where we go from there
Two days after my 1st call to Moxie (St.Paul) and I haven't received a call-back or anythingSo I call againSeemed like they were really busy because I was put on a 20min hold but sure enough I got throughI explained yet a second time about my experience and asked to see a new stylist ASAP, because I refuse to let him touch my hair again
I show up Monday (12/05/2016) night to speak with a stylist for yet another consultation and told her what I went throughI also show her pictures of what I wanted and we set the appointment
Wednesday 12/07/
I show up for my appointment and we get right to itIt mixes the lightener and lays foil upon foil
At this point I'm super excited because I think I'm finally getting the hair I wantedShe finishes the foils and we wait for what seemed like 30minsThis time there was not heater
She takes me to the sink and washes and tones times
She tells me that my hair didn't lift enough so it'll have to be a "dark grey"
Fine, I can live with that
She takes me to her chair and dries my hairI notice that it looks a lot better than what I had before so I'm feeling super excited to see the full results
She hands me the mirror and it seems to have taken on this "dark grey" she mentioned earlierSo we finish and I leave gratuityAlthough it wasn't her fault I appreciate her for fixing it
Anyway, I get to my car- in natural lighting my hair looks as if I did nothing to it (3rd photo) Once again I am disappointed??
