SCAMMERS and RIP OFF! Don't EVER use them. They came to my house to clean my chimney and they told me I need a new cap and new pipe, they charged me $750 for the work they completed (which included a new cap and sealing the chimney chase) and told me they would return with stainless pipe in 3 days
had me pay a deposit of $750.00 by check and demanded that it be made out to cash with a balance due of $500
they never returned
the work they did has to be redone because they used the wrong sealant on the chimney cap and installed the cap wrong
on 07-24-2017 I have an appointment with the ulster county DA investigator for possible criminal charges

I hired MPG to clean my woodstove. They told me I needed a new part ($250) which I may or may not need (it really costs $65). I found cigarettes in my driveway and a big trash bag in front of my yard. Not left behind unintentionally—tossed into a ditch.

Review: MPG Maintenance misrepresented themselves on the phone as [redacted], my usual chimney corporation. They came to my house to perform a chimney sweep , but they determined that I needed a $1400 of work on my chimney. They proceeded to hard sell this work, but I refused to approve the work. They also stated I have two chimneys,but I have I do not.I am not even sure if they cleaned my chimney.After they left I received a call from MPG about the work done and complained about the hard sell tactics. Not sure if anything will every get done. This whole event cost me $50 bucks, which is not a big deal, but I can see where people could get sucked into buying this service.I called [redacted] about the above situation. They sent out a a technician who inspected everything and determined nothing at all was needed, not even a cleaning.Regards,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would love to have my $50 bucks back.
